I don't understand how anyone can be so cruel as to leave an animal when they move. Kinda makes you wonder what will happen to their children should they become a problem.

I live in a National Forest. Our resident kitties just walked out of the forest one day, walked into our house, looked around and decided with the proper training we would do. I love them both. My Granddaughter named them: Mr. Kitty and MS. Elizabeth. They are part of the family.

It took them quite awhile to train the dogs and the iguana is obviously a slow learner. I could not desert any of my animals.

I believe all animal deserters should be punished this way--- A helicopter ride out into the wilderness and a choice between a warm jacket and a book of matches when they are dropped off. No Food no nothing else.

You're much more kind than I, and t***hfully, it is a good thing I have reasonable impulse control. I do all sorts of animal rescue and my initial impulse would be to take the offender up in a helicopter and shove them out  I am normally a most civilized individual, but when it comes to neglect and mistreatment of animals, I feel the temptation to throw all civility out the window.

I suppose you read my story about Max the little Yorkie that was one of 6 that were dropped off by our house. When this first happened I was so angry at the person who I did not know and had no way of finding.

After we kept Max and Made him part of our family I was reminded of what Joesph said to his brothers in Egypt after His Father died.

He told them, "What you did to me, you meant for evil, but God meant for good."
Every animal we have is a drop off. We love and care for each one.

I don't advocate dropping animals off in the woods, however these are the lucky good ending story ones who get dropped off at our place.

They all find a place in our hearts. If I believed in re-incarnation I would love to come back as one of Sues animals.

Agreed. If only people could see these poor animals in a week or two weeks. They would understand.

I can't afford to take ANY MORE in these days than I already have, although in my heart I know there is room for just "one more" dog, with my beloved Sunny gone. I miss her so. The local SPCA probably dead bolt their doors and draw their blinds when they see my truck coming up their drive because they "know" I'm not just making a social call, that I must have at least one puppy snuggled up against me, hoping that the inn is not full. It's a shame that people have such a disconnect to the animal kingdom. I suspect some are so dark of heart that it matters little how the universe sees them, or care that God knows when the smallest of sparrows falls...

I think you make a great point. I believe God is concerned with everything He created. Mankind seems to be so arrogant to think that God only cares for us. We may not understand but I believe He had a purpose for everything He created.
