Some of you will remember this song, the line ending "...riding on the dashboard of my car." We, as Christians, do not want a plastic Jesus, we want an authentic Jesus present every moment in our lives. How do we get this Jesus? Love! Love is the one sure way! Love for whom? God, neighbors, and enemies equally. If we are "citizens of heaven," what earthly enemies do we have? Duh, none! not Muslims, Republicans, democrats, liberals, conservatives, Iran, Russia, ISIS, or Walmart.

To love is the t***sformative power of God, who is love. Trust love far over reason or instinct.

Sounds like the kind of love that they suck you into c*******t propaganda with. You know, c*******t propaganda like political correctness, social justice, economic justice etc. the right kind of love includes recognizing evil, calling it what it is and standing up against it. Don't forget that Jesus called certain people vipers and sons of the devil. The kind of love you described sounds like the kind that causes people to be kind to the cruel and cruel to the kind. The hatred of real Christians, calling them h**ers (but wanting cop k**lers release) being a prime example & its ass holes of the left that preach that kind of love.

Sir, u got me wrong. Im a Christian and i love all my fellow Christians. However, ill k**l evil, ill k**l a isis muslim just as quick as i wud a rattle snake. And i wont stop at just one. Ill k**l them til my last breath and ill have my God behind me all the way to protect me. AMEN and AMEN , We came here on the Mayflower on Sunday and waited til Monday to get off the boat and it took years but we k**led every indian here except a few for seed. I am a Christian and not the "plastic Jesus" variety however, I suggest you do a more in depth study of the scriptures, because it sounds to me like you're more into the Woodstock generation & Flower power than you are to Yahshua ha Massiach.

How would I know ?? Because you leave it to man's effort to love his fellow man, the same way Oprah, or Ellen do. Mankind is a fallen race. WE are DEAD in spirit unless and until our Heavenly Father decides to quicken our spirit and bring it to life through the atonement of his Son. Only then can we begin to understand real love for our neighbor and even then it doesn't happen all at once or we would come apart at the seams. The process of being reformed into the image of Christ is a lifelong process. Without Christ the best we can do is F**E IT.

Inherent in the word "love" is discipline for apart from such it no longer becomes love but license. Philippians 3:18-19 states: "For many walk of whom I have often told you even in weeping that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ whose end is destruction..." Any enemy of the cross should be the enemy of every Christian.

Even in Christ's statement, "Love your enemies..." He acknowledged that we would have enemies. But it is these same enemies for which we are to love and to pray.

*The Greek word for "h**e" or "h**ed" is "miseo" which means to detest, to h**e, and by extension to love less. The Hebrew word for "h**ed" is "sane" which means to h**e on a personal level as an enemy or foe who is utterly odious.
