The efforts to stop ISIS have had little effect on their advance in Syria and Iraq. No nation seems willing to mount a sufficient offense, one with some real teeth. So, ISIS may be proving what Osama bin Laden claimed about America and her allies--"paper tigers", he called them.

As you can see on the map, ISIS (in red) has control of most of northern Syria and Iraq. And with both Turkey and Iran on their backs, they have massive support. They are on the outskirts of Baghdad.

Until the leaders of the civilized nations grow some balls, ISIS will continue their advance.
