While I'm thinking of it, AuntiE, I thought I'd show you a picture of how a proper redneck accessorizes: (It also currently sports a laser sight, to compliment the optional trijicons it came with).

It is incumbent on me to occasionally mock banjo as I fear he receives too much respect from his family. He needs to be reined in.

Which would be totally useless to Aunti. You know I cannot pull those stupid slides back. Once it is empty, I would have to use it to strike someone upside the head or just throw it at them.
I know what I forgot to tell you. My NRA Instructor felt a pump shotgun was best for me. When he was demonstrating and then having us (students) clear the weapon, load it, etc. I did it faster then he did and had never had one in my hand.

There is no doubt I will live to regret the following as you are already so self important ;-).
It was my understanding a weapon is only as accurate as the person using it and their training and sk**l.

Respect, my butt! The last time anyone called me sir, the next thing they said was "The reason I stopped you.......".
I know the local cops, this one was not local. A local would have just said, "I told you it was the circuit board. You can't fix everything with duct tape."

A good weapon won't make a good shot out of a poor one, but it will make a great shot out of a very good one. My training and sk**l have proven more than adequate so far. My innate modesty and predilection for self effacement prevents further comment.
What a lovely welcoming gift, I love it

I'll stick to my 12ga. with 00 buckshot the only way I could hit the broad side of a barn with a pistol is if I hold the barrel against the wall

Before I even post the following....ALL YOU VETS... It is a paraphrase as I CANNOT remember the exact quote.
Banjo is that similar to the phrase our training gives the enemy the opportunity to give their life for their country.

For that matter, #4 shot is also a very good choice, especially if you have close neighbors. No practical difference in stopping power at normal defensive ranges, and less danger of excessive penetration. If you don't believe me, ask the FBI, and Gunsite, where many FBI agents go for advanced training.
