Attorney General told a House subcommittee they are considering “gun-tracking bracelets” as a “common sense” way to reduce gun violence.

Eric Holder said the Obama Administration is looking at several technological innovations to reduce the number of stolen guns being used in crime.“I think that one of the things that we learned when we were trying to get passed those common sense reforms last year, Vice President Biden and I had a meeting with a group of technology people and we talked about how guns can be made more safe,” he said.“By making them either through finger print identification, the gun talks to a bracelet or something that you might wear, how guns can be used only by the person who is lawfully in possession of the weapon.”

“It’s those kinds of things that I think we want to try to explore so that we can make sure that people have the ability to enjoy their Second Amendment rights, but at the same time decreasing the misuse of weapons that lead to the kinds of things that we see on a daily basis,” Holder said.As far as I know, the only people required to wear trackable devices are criminals on house arrest.

Holder seems to view legal gun owners the same way. In this Administration’s twisted world, forcing law-abiding citizens to wear tracking.

This is insane, even in today's technical world this would be a nightmare to setup, maintain, and enforce..

Hmmm, since only a fraction of 1% of lawfully-acquired guns, and lawful (CCW) gun owners, are involved in crimes per year, Holder would be more effective if he were to put smart technology on the wrists of all the gangbangers, professional thieves and all the other criminals who use guns illegally.

Oh, wait! Since the "criminal class" would never volunteer for such a program, noncompliance & ineffectiveness would be guaranteed.

Therefore, the REAL INTENT of the "common sense" way to "reduce gun violence" is really a "registration" for "safety compliance" leading to--as it has in every prior instance of governmental registration of weapons--eventual confiscation. Targeting ONLY lawful gun owners as, once again, no criminal will be stepping up for Halfwit Holder's program.

Also, the article indicates that"Contempt of Congress" Holder consulted on this with Joe Biden. Great. He consulted with the brilliant mind who gave us such nifty Self-Defense Tips as:

"...[if] you want to keep someone away from your house, just fire the shotgun through the door."

and

"...if there's ever a problem, just walk out on the balcony here, walk out and put that double-barrel shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house…'"

--Both such actions would land you in jail in most jurisdictions in the U.S.

Anything the government runs is a fuster cluck. Like Medicare, medicaid, Obamacare etc. And I guess the thugs won't figure out how to get around this? Once again the law abiding citizen is screwed.

Weird, ain't it? Liberals want to create a "smart gun" that can be fired only by a registered owner, yet every time a high-profile shooting occurs, anti-gun liberals wail about guns having minds of their own.

Two things I can say with absolute certainty. One, my guns are extremely smart. They never do anything without my permission; I have total control over their behavior.

And, two, I do not need nor will I ever accept a bracelet or fingerprint scanner installed on my guns. I don't need their permission to shoot them.

One other thing, I never have shot nor do I ever intend to shoot something or someone who doesn't deserve it.

Blade_runner, I'm with you on everything you said. I don't need the libs permission to own and fire my weapon, and they can take their fingerprint idea and shove it up pelosis old crotch. When the Muslims start their shirt me and mine are and will be ready. I'm not worried about the libs, those chickens**t f*g lovers are going to be the first to get a Muslim haircut. Good post blade

The biometric gun, can only be fired by the person wearing the bracelet. It is not a tracking device. Unfortunately, the first gun store that tried to sell them was almost put out of business by the NRA. Apparently they don't care about gun safety, only massive gun sales to enrich their sponsors.

If you had given credit to the source of your post I would not have stated what I did. However, the only source you used was your words about what Holder said. Also, to post known bulls**t without admitting that it is bulls**t when you post is nothing but trolling to get a reaction, and not to see what others think.

Well, pardon me all to hell, jack. Thanks for the critique I'll know better next time, my mistake. Oh by the way your wrong I was not trolling to get a reaction, I actually was interested what others thought. However, If reaction was what I was looking for I certainly got a good one from you.

Geez, I watched the video of Holder's statement, and posted a verbatim transcript TWICE, and you still spin this as a lie. Holder said what he said.

Your credibility is in the s**tter, jack, either pull it out and clean it up or flush the damned comode.

Maybe since Obama, Holder and every liberal that opens their mouths lies continually he thinks this is just another lie from the serial crop of liars in DC.
