The free market, which no longer exists, if it ever did. would bring the big biz to place any facility it wished in any area it wanted.. your home, gone and replaced by a junk dealer. Or that always wanted tire disposal. or that missed timber treatment facility..

Without the protection of zoning, our lives would be lived in the sewers of runoff from business waste..

Have to ask, did you get rejected from building a out of zone business? Perhaps a lively bar in the heart of residential area?? So all the little kids can enjoy the ambiance of drunks and fight every night of the week as you try to have them attack homework rather then each other...

1. Land Use and Zoning Laws protect my property from devaluation by allowing a next-door neighbor to deface his property somehow.
2. The city I live in, Richmond, VA. runs a very sharp Zoning Commission, with some really talented individuals as members. I have been before them twice for various issues.
3. Yes, I won my issues!
4. The greatest problem I have is with the misuse of Emanant Domain to seize property and offer far less for it than the market would afford to the owner. And, to make it even more d********g, to turn the property over to a commercial venture of some kind. Both factors are against the law, but corruption is where you find it.
5. The variation on that move out west has been well-publicized, where government people have tried to appropriate key pieces of land, only to be met with armed resistors, including the landowners, that I believe lost in the end.
6. Then we have the government people that have the power to declare your watering hole to be inadequate or polluted or inappropriate for its location or what have you. You must comply with their demands or you lose the property!
7. On and on it goes with big battles and small ones, and the smell of bad money and corrupt people is often hovering over it all. We have 50 sovereign states and thousands of counties and cities where these kinds of maneuvers are taking place every day of the year. How can we solve this?

For the second term of the lawless Biden administration in 2025, Biden will change zoning and demolish all the suburban homes. They will require all people except the elites, to live in high rise apartment buildings, and or condos. People could no longer own single-family homes. They will all be converted by Biden to apartment units where everybody will live equally with their neighbors. We will be required to live among thugs like the B*M thugs, the Mexican thugs and drug cartels and addicts, and all i******s will be our neighbors for DEI and e******y.

This has been a plan by Barack and Joe Biden. Your children will be playing among the children of thugs. And whoever will have huge body built, these children will be under threats by the huge thugs. Punching each other, the huge thugs win all the time.

The lawless Biden using our tax money has already bought 3.984 million v**ers from students whose loans have been paid by Biden. All these are against the SC decisions. Biden is still continuing doing that, and more v**ers will come before Oct. 2024, when Biden pays more of them.

Biden is also using our tax money for various stimulus programs to all those not working and with lower income.
Here they are:
Paying $900 each month for groceries alone.
Paying $3,000 each month for those with children, and low income.
Paying to all who die for their funeral costs.
Paying to all i******s now almost 12 millions of them $3,000 per month each family. That does not include their medical care, and schools for their millions of kids.

Paying to t***sport by plane from various countries to the US to avoid Texas and other states borders. Cost against taxpayers. Most i******s are not t***sported by Biden to the US by plane.

These 12 million i******s well be Biden's and Barack's v**ers, for their Marxist, Socialist and their final goal is the Totalitarian system of government.

The Constitution right now does not function. Most of the provisions are bypassed and violated.

Further, in 2021, there was the $6 trillion appropriated budget for the purpose of fixing highways, and bridges throughout the country. What happened? None was fixed. What happened to the money?

I wish I could audit all Biden's appropriated money how he expended them. And why our infrastructures are still falling apart.

Then Biden and team accused Trump of all their lawless actions.

Wow, I agree with you on item #4. immanent domain. it needs regulation, stringent control or it gets misused.. It has both in the twin cities and in greater Minnesota.

As for the concept of zoning, I can not see a better way to protect the good citizens of our land. it in fact has protected this particular area. Some years ago some guy wanted to build a dumb/recycling facility on what had been a small field.. insisted the surrounding woods was sufficient to screen the operation and no fencing or grading of the property was needed.. he had the funds to fight for nearly two years but we did win and he moved elsewhere..

I can not see how any system which left the issue up to the company wanting the building of any sort of facility could be helpfull.. for a biz most of the time the only consideration is the bottom line and the environment, the condition of the people and the land itself do not enter into the calculations..

We must have workable regulations..
