This cannot not be right. We are constantly being told by Democrats that Republicans are the ones who will cut Medicare.

The article says there is an increase in funding of 3.6% and a reduction in one aspect of the program of .17% so in reality a gain of 3.43%

For the longest time I have wonder why does Congress need to fund Medicare or Social Security? I thought that we the people pay into these 2 funds to be able to use them in retirement. And I think that the people who receive pay checks are still paying into them. I understand that when these funds had huge surpluses, that Congress borrowed from these funds with IOUs and then somehow made these funds part of the budget. If Congress had not done this to these 2 funds, there would be plenty of money to fund our benefits. Another example of how our government has regularly misused funds and destroyed programs, both democrats and Republicans.

No, even with the .17% decrease to Medicare enrolled people Medicare will still spend 3.6% more money.

That's like saying "I got a raise, so the cost of my food was reduced"

There's a big debate right now of Medicare Advantage plans vs Original Medicare fee for service plans. I am not surprised that the Advantage plans are being cut as the original Medicare people said the Advantage plans were given too much money.

I'm in South Florida and use HealthSun Medicare advantage plan all of which is covered by my monthly Medicare premium. In 3 years I've not had a single out of pocket expense, but then again, I only see my doctor twice a year for checkups and blood pressure prescription renewals. Now don't tell anyone but last visit I lied and told her that I've been experiencing episodes of higher blood pressure and requested an extra dose of medicine for those times so now I get 4 daily pills instead of 3 which I've been stockpiling for emergency. Shush

Rotate your stockpile so they are still full effect.
