So true education can occur without indoctrination of young mines. Eight year olds don’t need to know about sex of any kind. But it seems that the liberal pukes in the DoE think they should know about it all. Even making sure that they sexually confuse these kids about their sex. More and more teachers are being arrested for sexual contact with these kids. When I was in 7th grade I had a teacher that sit on the counter grading papers. She kept her legs spread to far apart.
It was d********g. I turned her in and she was no longer my teacher.

If education was run correctly, indoctrination would be minimal as students would be pursuing core courses, language arts (reading, writing, grammar), mathematics and science. Extraneous education would not be presented until high school.

Does that extraneous education include religion?

If it is a comparative religion course, it could be used. In fact, a strong comparative religion course could be beneficial.

Interesting note. Our community college used the Bible as a literature course.

It is up to the stakeholders (utterly stupid use of the word) to push bringing back the necessity of focusing on core subjects. Those stakeholders are the parents. It is not the educators decision on subject matter, it is their job to teach.
Let me use one of your b cult /b s favorite words... (show quote)

I am not part of the cult, stakeholders is a stupid word to use in context used by the Democrats. The stakeholders are the parents(it is their children's education at stake) Yes it is the job of educators to teach. All curriculum should be decided with parental involvement working with boards and school districts. In my last years of teaching I was on textbook committees and we begged for parental involvement in deciding what texts to approve and use. Unfortunately we got very little parental input. I hope things have improved since 2017 when I retired.

Since the lockdowns with C***D, parents have become more involved. They saw things that displeased them greatly.

When I was volunteering at schools, it drive me up the walls that so few parents attended parent conferences or school events. My feeling is if your child attends a school, even if that child is not in the choir or sports team, you should attempt to attend a few events as a support for student efforts.

Oh, if memory serves you were in AL. They are right now playing UNC in the Sweet 16 game.

No, get rid of it. Teaching these young children to have surgery to become a freak.

It was never the federal government's duty to interfere with education. The education interference should be only with the State governments

Yes after I retired we moved to AL(Tuscaloosa)and in both 2017 and 2019 I was a substitue for the county schools. I just received my credentials to become a sub here in Texas for this Fall. I missed being around students and am looking forward to be going back in the Fall. It's good to hear that things are getting better with parental interests in their children's schools. Yes we do agree on being active in supporting kids in school activities. We attend our grandkids here Debates, sports(currently baseball and softball) and choir concerts. My daughter is planning on running for schoolboard here also. Yep watched the game...Woww can't believe Bama is in the Elite8 that was another great game. My next game I really want to see is UH/Duke on Sunday. UH beat my Aggies in OT last Sunday after the Aggs came back from 13down to tie at the buzzer with a top of the key 3.

The greatest country in the world should have the greatest education system in the world.

The word in your post “should” reflects the fact you are correct - especially with the amount of funds expended on public education - sad t***h being America isn’t even close to being the greatest - more funds won’t cure the political involvement that has pushed woke concepts and T*********r ideology even as low as kindergarten to include d**g q***n shows - the Educational system has taken Civics, Geography and the constitutional exams that use to be part of graduating requirements and replaced them with superficial garbage such as CRT and DEI criteria that does nothing to secure employment - our children are being graduated that can’t spell can’t read or do basic math - this is what the NEA has provided .
