Officials insist it's only allowed 'when students are not present'.

There's something seriously wrong with officials who can't stomach anyone praying on campus, even before the school day begins.

You won't believe what 1democrats did to this teacher when she dared to communicate with God.

Ri-chard, I for one am shocked that a public school teacher would violate the constitution by praying in school. We in the US have something wonderful in our country called freedom of religion. It guarantees that the state would not be able to use its power to interfere with religion, and vise versa. I happen to be a person of faith, but my faith is my own personal business. If teachers or kids want to pray, I say go for it. Prayer is a wonderful thing, but should never be carried out by a government employee, on government property. Kids, and teachers can pray before and after school. If we let one person pray in school, we have to be able to let all people pray the same way. Would you agree to have Muslims lead prayer in school? How about Jews leading in prayer declaring there is only one G-d, not a trinity. Hindus would be leading prayers in class to one of the many gods that they believe in. How about atheist and agnostic parents having to expose their children to a religion that they don't believe in?
I am very much in favor in teaching about the various religions of the world, and what they are all about. I actually taught this as a part of a Modern World History course in Maryland, but am very much against prayer in public schools!

RIF=Reading is Fundamental
Had to read and comprehended the article, you would know she did not pray ”in school”. She prayed before school at the public f**g pole.

Why? What harm could possibly come from praying in a public school, or anywhere else for that matter?

A faith that is hidden is no faith at all. Your post shows total ignorance of how the founding fathers viewed the first amendment. I would try to educate you but it would be pointless.

The harm is people not worshipping government as the master and savior.

To think, he is a former teacher. It is, possibly p, a good think it was special needs students as opposed to those who needed reading fundamentals.

Yes, he would be very well versed in special needs.

As long as it's not an official act, it should be allowed.

If the teacher swears, using the Lord's name, is this too a violation in your opinion?

Blade, It would violate the US Constitution, make kids of a different religion feel like they are left out, and would mean that all other religions would have the right to lead prayer in school.
I wouldn't be against a moment of silence in which kids could pray in silence or meditate, or just take the time to get their heads together for the coming school day.
