Guess there aren't too many in TX willing to put their $$ where their mouths are. $150M spent vs $550k donated.
" Texas Gov. Greg Abbott boasted shortly after he began soliciting private donations for his controversial migrant busing program that there would likely “be no cost to the state” given the outpouring of support from concerned citizens across the country.
But after nearly two years of fundraising to offset the program’s costs, Abbott’s operation has collected less than half of 1% of the roughly $150 million spent on busing migrants to sanctuary cities, according to a review of state records. And CNN found that the largest donation – $900,000 – never made it into the state’s coffers, either because it was a mistake or a prank.
Records show that at most, around $550,000 has been raised to date."

Money WELL spent, as a citizen of Texas and a tax payer, let's throw in another couple of million and send even more into the realms of sanctuary cities and states.

So have you sent any donations to help?

In the form of taxes, yes.

If that counts, then my husband and I have done our share to house the people your governor sent to our state.
And I don't begrudge the contribution.

The savings to Texas, of not having to perpetually provide "services" to those I******S will far more than offset their shipping costs.
Some of those I******S have demonstated that they are sub-human, thus animals is an appropriate term.

Haven't you been asked to take some i*****l i*******ts into your home, and would you willingly do that?

I sincerely thank you and your husband for supporting the sanctuary status of your home city or state. If you and your local government made the commitment, then ethically and morally you should stand behind it.
Abbott, Texas, nor myself made any such commitments, and for decades, the Democrats have demanded that we "handle the problem", with between little and NO help from the federal government. Nothing could be more moral, fair, even GENEROUS, than us Texans paying to t***sport the people Biden invited to the places that welcome them. I only question WHY my federal tax dollars are going to provide support for all the host cities.

If we want to play the "whatabout" game - Why do OUR federal dollars go to help southern states hit over and over by hurricanes, or Midwestern states hit by tornadoes and floods, or Texas when the power fails during a snow or ice storm and your Senator Cruz runs away to avoid it... I have no problem doing that.
We New Yorkers don't complain that our federal tax dollars go to where they are needed to save lives - even though our roads may be full if potholes and our bridges continue to close because we aren't getting any federal dollars for repairs.
I cheered for the infrastructure bill - even though a lot of that money is going to provide people in more rural areas with reliable Internet service - which most of us in NYS already have.
I want everyone to prosper and be able to live their best lives. That is why I support Democrats over Republicans right now.
How many i*****l i*******ts have you taken into your home?

I would if asked. We are nowhere near a sanctuary city.
