Your second point is more to my liking, 1oldgeezer. Technology and other changes have increased the powers of the executive branch at the expense of the others.

And the "Fixx" has to be something We the People must, first, want, and then second, work for.

CarolSeer2016,

I wholeheartedly agree with your notion that the office of the presidency, with the present occupant, has morphed into a position very close to that of a dictator/king with Obama's disregard for the constitution (and the congress's inability to do anything about it).

In order for a country to be self governing the country must have a plurality of interested, informed, moral individuals, therein lies our basic modern day problems and the cause for the shift in government power; we have too many disinterested, (deliberately) misinformed citizens who think there really is a free lunch.

The solution to our problems is to take interest, become informed, inform others, and act where we can. Citizens like you appear to be the beginning of this.

My only thoughts about the anger expressed (I might add well placed anger) is that only the "tear it down" part is being considered without sufficient thought given to what will replace it. The present administration is actively fostering conflict between the groups in order to "t***sform" this country....(they understand that you must "tear it down" before you can t***sform it).

If Obama and co. are successful, our constitutional (rule of law) government will be replaced with a socialist (tyrannical) government operating under social justice instead of equal justice under the law.

Sorry if this sounds critical, I don't mean it to be. I admire your basic position.

Yes the part where you said they understand
You must tear it down.
(For crying out loud they have books about it)
I concur.
We as a society are being prodded by media to divide and oppose one another.
Don't buy into it.
Just because someone is trying to start something.Well it does not mean we have to participate.
I choose not to act on fear.
I choose
I don't want to start anything.
I saw a church billboard once the message was the following:
You do not have to attend every argument that you are invited to.
I prefer Equal Justice.
True Justice
Just is
Just.

I will say Justifiable is not always just let alone justice.
Just if I able hmmm
I would like to flip that around to
Able if I just
Just what
Well now I have to add to the equation something that had been missing
Able if I am just.
My thoughts
Jesus is justice.

A very important topic, if you think about it. And I'd like to know your thoughts.

Here is one connection:

If the office of the President is always "highly valued" (definition of Respect) by the people, then the office itself more easily accumulates power--as if people feel that since the power inherent in the office is already valuable, then more power must be even more valuable. Thus power grows until the officeholder becomes, in the eyes of the people, omnipotent and infallible. He has become deified, like the ancient Roman Emperors.
A very important topic, if you think about it. An... (show quote)

I h**e to have to tell you, but you have a misspelled word in your title. It is not spelled "Deification" - it is spelled "DEFICATION"

And I admire your position. In fact, I don't find too many places wherein we differ.

Keep in mind, 1oldgeezer, that Obama told me he thought the Concentration of Power is Inevitable. I imagine Julius Caesar felt the same way. And we all know what his fate was.
