So if Christian Conservatives are so charitable why is it you seem to have such hatred for the poor? And do you give because you are chartable or because your god dictates you to? Of course if you guys truly are charitable then I would suggest you sign up with the Gates foundation and pledge your estate at your death. It targets world health, hunger, poverty, plus education and best of all the feds won't get one thin dime of your hard earned wealth!
I have recently written to you about the magnificent works I have been witness to. I was there when Christ reached out to some he so loves through me.
I would love to share with you in depth the Godly man I married. He is one of those born into the world so close to Good and Godliness he just always seems to do the right thing. He is slow to speak. When he speaks it is almost always uplifting . He is so focused on his Savior that regardless of hardship or circumstance he sees Glory he sees opportunity to love.
He is an avid reader of the scriptures or Bible. My nickname for him is faithful. Because it best describes him. He is faithful in all things. I marvel at the impact for Christ this man has. If I were to start making a list here of the things Christ has done through him , I would be here all night.
He gives because he can and that alone he counts as joy.
He gives of his time which is amazing since he has so little free time. He works 52 to 70 hours a week.
He leads by example. He is humble. He is generous. He has raised our children to live a life of love and respect for all mankind.
He brings out the best in people whether it's the heavily tattooed guy in front of us at a Wendy's, that he has never met ,or billionaire in a field at a dove shoot. He is captivating, some call him Hollywood, others Chief. The thing you know that illusive thing the it factor he has it.
I asked him once How do you remain so calm and attentive when someone is so obviously wrong. He couldn't tell me.
I asked him once how can you be charitable after how wronged you have been by that person. He couldn't tell me. Said he couldn't put into words.
Let's just say I have asked him a lot of things in regards to his extra ordinary behavior.
And sometimes I got a shrug of the shoulders or the nod of the head. Once in a while he would just hold up his hand as if to ask me please don't ask.
About now you might be thinking well he sounds a bit sensitive maybe he's a girly man. Nope, I have watched this man break up a knife fight in a convenience store parking lot. My daughter witnessed him get between two men once again somebody had a knife. In both instances nobody was harmed nobody made a mistake they couldn't take back.
Oh well he is a tough guy then . nope he's 6'1 slim build and wears a cowboy hat. We do not live out west . He stands out. He's not now nor has he ever been in law enforcement He was never a soldier.
He is observant if your a female arriving at a wedding and no Male is in your car. He springs into action making that sprint in coat and tie to open your car door and offer you his hand. If there is another male near by you will be recruited to help out... in that male language with looks and nods.
I finally figured it out one day. Years into our marriage How he can love in the face of h**e. How he sees everyone the same. ( they are all in his heart a brother or sister in Christ he just hadn't met yet ) Why because he seeks Christ every morning in prayer then he reads and rereads the advice and stories / parables of Christ.
He gets his head straight
He gets his heart straight
Years passed
I caught him always up before me first things first seeking Christ.
One morning early 5:30 I walked through half glancing at him. I was stopped in my tracks. Because that man I married was looking at me so affectionately so peaceful and so kind and I had seen the look before when he held our daughter just before saying good night a tiny infant. He placed her in her crib and squeezed my hand. He was choked up said he just felt overwhelmed at how much love he had for her.
And that morning I knew that look the look of a father completely in awe and in admiration of this tiny person in his life humble and grateful and in that moment I knew my husband's face was reflecting my heavenly Father's love. That was the look of Christ.
You see every morning my husband invites Christ into his life. That's it that's the it factor it's a father's love.
