You absolutely do not want to go there. You may not having any shooting unless you can provide Feinstein, Schummer, Manchin and Toomey with background check and proof you did not obtain your weapon from a private sale or gun show. Why or why do I have to explain these things?

You didn't miss much. It seems barcruz ran out of arguments again, and reverted to disingenuous name-calling. At least I put some creativity into my insults. I also spell them correctly. Nothing says dumbass quite as poignantly as misspelled, repetitive and uninspired contumely. I may join in tomorrow myself, just to provide some professional quality instruction in proper slander.

AuntiE; Just two minutes ago I was reading the discussion about another article called "America Is Much Less Conservative" or something on that order. It made for some very sad reading; the way some of those people abuse each other sent a chill down my back. I started to make a post of my own telling both sides to cool down and stop all the name calling, but I don't feel like arguing with them at the moment.

the others who post here get candy and cake for breakfast, but I never get to do anything!!! ;)

I know just what you mean; it made me think of a smug i***t whom I could call my #1 enemy here.
He makes so many spelling errors in his rants that it's fun for me to slice him up after reading his clumsy insults. His feeble arguments and name-calling have thrown down the gauntlet, and I enjoy putting him in his place. He always gives me all the ammo I need. I don't feel bad about it at all; he brought it on himself, and my eloquence is never wasted on him! :mrgreen:

I am unable to disagree with your perception. I think it occurs because people have no way to respond to the constant scathing denigration by the media against Independents, Libertarians, Republicans, people who talk about the Constitution, religion or other issues. The constant onslaught against everyone who brings up concerns not in "mainstream" ideology raises individual ire to a level requiring some outlet. Hence you see forums become a verbal brawl. My main thought is in relationship to the First Amendment. It has been so hugely encroached upon in all segments of the rights it affords, I simply cannot allow myself to encroach on a posters rights even when it is a brawl.
