Hello, I just registered and thought I would post a little about myself. My friends call me Deb, I'm over 50 (don't ask how much), currently reside in Tennessee, ex USAF, have v**ed mostly Republican in the past and care deeply about the direction I'm afraid this country is headed. I am looking forward to hearing (reading) the opinions posted here. I want to share a few of my own options or concerns and see what I can learn from all of you that post here.

Howdy. You will find a number of other veterans, myself included, posting here. I think you will be our first Air Force. You will also find some rather quirky, (for lack of a better descriptive term)individuals posting here. I'll tell you that we do go on at times. Topics become unrecognizable as they metamorph into Lord know what sometimes. Agree or disagree, people here can get passionate and downright mad. I've always felt this is much better than the apathy displayed by so many.

My memory did not fail me. I sat here thinking as I posted about the USAF portion you had mentioned the Navy; however, questioned my own memory process and was too lazy to back check my memory.
Basically, I should have done my work before posting. :thumbdown: on Aunti in this instance.

When replying previously, I failed to do a grammar check. I tend to stick with old school usage of words. Your statement "downright mad" would t***slate to "downright insane" based upon my education. Preferable would be "downright angry". Oh, wait. It occurs that irondoor does tend to lead us toward "downright insane". Hmm..will have to ponder on this.
Is "metamorph" one of your neologisms?

You could say that; Technically, the word is metamorphosize, (which is the verb form of metamorphosis). I suppose I did bit of trimming, since I found the word to be somewhat unwieldy. Unfortunately, a "metamorph" is someone or something that has undergone the process of metamorphosis, making it a noun rather than a verb. See? I'm not infallible, but don't tell anyone else.

My car has returned from the overnight with strangers. It was less of an issue then expected. :P
