That was me, around New Year's Eve, 1969....soon to turn 21. It was not long after my return from the War.

I dunno...the ravages of time can, oftentimes, be frightening.  :-(

It would appear you had, what used to be called, a duck tail hair style; however, on our forehead. You full quart eyes really show in that picture. :P

Do you remember japanese Sun-Tory Liquor? It was a favorite beverage while at Mount Fugi cold weather training. It had many uses, one being additional fuel for the jeeps.

On 'your' forehead, & 'Your' full quart eyes, perhaps?

In my younger days of the 50s, 'duck tails' were worn on the sides of one's head of hair, kept in place with greasy hair dressing. Unless you are referring to the wave on my 'bangs' (sort'a), I don't catch the reference. And, no, I wasn't a quart low at the time...apparently. :?

Perfect examples of 'duck tails' are to be seen in 'American Graffiti' on both 'Terry the Toad' and John, the good guy hot-rodder. 8-)

Well, I can't blame anyone else but me, it was my idea when we ran out of gas. The JEEP smoked like a five alarm fire, but brought us back to base. One of the guys was in Motor-T and tore the engine down in the morning. I figured it was going to at least need a thorough cleaning. To our surprise, all the carbon had been burned out of the engine leaving it clean as a whistle. Good Times

Bud dry is the name of a pretty nasty beer. That why ask why quote was from a commercial.
