You are correct in that.....but like most things, reality falls a little short of the idea. A dozen or so, too many people, some on both sides, use this site as a target range to spew their venom at people. Occasionally some of each get together on the same thread and the results are usually d********g.

I find this site filled with so much sophomoric venom that it is hard to read. I came here to read other peoples ideas that I might not agree with but still want to hear. I wanted to do that so I could learn what the right wing views are and why. I find it disheartening to read the anger rage and this weird hideous thing people do on this site which is insult, devalue and work over another contributor. Actually tearing at others personhood. That is just weird. Those people venting here remind me of Edward Munch “The Scream”. Like screaming into the void. No one is listening but if these people would calm the fluff down and just tell us what they think, we’ll then that would be really good.

You kind of remind me of myself, in that I joined specifically to learn about why the left believes the things they say and do, and choose the people they support.
I HAVE learned a lot, over the past three years, but sometimes it takes a lot of effort to separate the wheat from the chaff.
