If there was any way the shooter's background could be used to bash Christians they would do it. Look at the guy who attacked Nancy Pelosi's husband. David DePape was illegally in the US from Canada. He abused drugs and was psychotic. He went from being an Obama supporter to being homeless to finally believing he needed to knee cap Nancy Pelosi. The media focused on his delusions against left wing politicians and labeled him a MAGA supporter.
Being an ex Obama supporter, an illegal, and a homeless drug abuser rarely were mentioned.
