I take pills for BP twice a day, and my Doctor wants me to gain 10lbs. No salt, alcohol, or tobacco.
I asked about housewives who order multiple packages delivered to their porch every day. Every. Single. Day.
He looked at me for a second, and said "I've seen you somewhere before."
I told him I'm the guy with the bird on my shirt who is at your house every day.
He said: "Good Mailmen are hard to find anymore. I'll work with you, if you work with me to keep you alive."
We made a deal. He would have his wife order dog food from a company that we don't deliver for if I would take this other pill that makes me pee more to get the salt out of my kidneys.
I also told him to get the wadded up water hose, and kids toys away from his mailbox.
That one will be renegotiated when I see him next month.

Archie have you ever had your heart check recently? One big side effect for Conjestive Heart Failure is water retention. If you have insurance you should because the sooner you find out the less it effects your health. I have stage D which is the final stage I didn't find out until 2 years ago and I was stage C. Medication( water pills and high blood pressure meds help but I'm to the point they aren't working very well. I can't walk across 10 feet without being really short of breath. It also effects blood pressure. Just wondering how high do you run ( BP)and what BP med do you take if I may ask?

I've had every test run that they could think of. The treadmill thing years ago, and, about 3 years ago, I had the chemical stress test.
That was a rush!!
I'm clean. My Dr. loves my cholesterol, and all my other stuff. I just have high bp. Maybe because I smoke, and like a beer here, and there, and eat what men are supposed to eat. I dunno.
I average about 11 miles a day of walking carrying a load, and never get short of breath. I do internalize a lot of irritation though. That could be a contributing factor, but I think its genetic. My brother, sister, and mom have this condition.
As for medications, I take a 40 mg. Lisinopril every morning, and a 5 mg. Amlodipine every night.
I don't know if I'm good, or bad. I take the pills, and go by how I feel.
I quit taking the water pills because I'm an old man, and when I gotta pee, I gotta go NOW. I don't need that enhanced.
