Wrong. The Iranians laughed at Carter and knew he was a weakling. They ran all over him. When Reagan was elected President in a landslide, the Ayatollah's knew better than mess with the new guy on the blaock, the Bull Dog, Ronald Reagan. The Ayatollah's raised their hands and told Reagan, please take the hostages back, we meant no harm. And that freed our hostages once and for all.
