Inflation had gone up to 17% and was still rising when Reagan kicked his a$$ out of office. Carter had rationing of gasoline, high prices and a botched attempt to release our prisoners in Iran. Face it, Carter stunk as a president. Fact, Reagan saved the US and put us back on course something Trump was doing after ovommit was pulling another disastrous Carter on us.

I actually remember long lines and short tempers at gas stations then. I remember my father not being able to go to work some days because he didn't have any gas, and he had already got his "allowed" ration. He had a family of 9 to take care of. No one cared about how each individual was affected by the rationing. A couple of neighbors donated their gas from their own cars to dad. I remember him being very anxious about the safety issues of not being able to drive anywhere if we had any emergencies. In a family of 9, that's always a worry, but with no gas to get them to a doctor or hospital, the worry was greatly magnified. And our dad wasn't the only one worrying this way...
I believe Biden is taking us down the same road Carter did with his inflation...
