We have had to experience the heartbreak many times. Each Time I say nor more, we are not going through this again. But living in the country here comes one out of the woods that someone has abandoned and the way my wife runs off dropped off dogs is to throw hamburger balls at them and zap we have another priceless buddy, and it starts all over. We presently have a yellow lab, a Yorkie, and a wire-haired weenie dog. So sorry for your loss Arch.

Hey Armi!! Good to see your still kickin!!

After I let Gus go, I swore I'd never do it again myself. Now, I have an 85 lb slobbering, snoring, hard headed bulldog who is irreplaceable. We still have the horse too, and they're best friends.
The horse, Buster is 25, or 26 now, and Ruger is 5, so we have a lot of grief ahead.
I reckon it's worth it in some way because they give us unconditional love, and loyalty.

They're all good ones. That's what makes it so hard to not love them.

How are you...hope/yours are blessed/happy.
Your wife I see has developed a sure fire system...works every time I'll bet. She starts training from the moment she sees a stray

I came across this picture a minute ago, and it broke me down for a minute. Gus was my running buddy for about 15 years. Best road dog ever, great with the "littles", and a ball playing fool.
Until he got old, and in pain. I had to put him down.....

No point to this other than it sucks that we out live them.😭

He looks like my jerry Lloyd that died two years ago! Great dog

Our dogs give us some of the most enjoyable times of our lives and one of the most painful. I understand exactly how you feel and share in your pain. I have a t-shirt that states; Life’s Goal, Pet All The Dogs. I’m a caninetrovert. I prefer to be surrounded by dogs instead of people. I hope fond memories help ease your pain. RIP Gus.

Yes heartbreaking! I lost many pets! Hope to see them in heaven!

I’m not sure who said it but….. If dogs aren’t allowed in heaven, I want to go where they go.
