Doesn't Switzerland require everyone to serve, and after their year of service they go home with their rifle. It is or was something like that. And Germany never attacked them in WWII because everyone was armed and it would have been a devastating toll on the German Army to conquer them. Essentially, everyone is drafted for life. It isn't just to protect you, but your family, neighbors and country from evil dictators, foreign or domestic. Of course if you are an ex-murderer or certifiably mentally unbalanced or a limp wristed coward, we wouldn't want you to have a gun.
Yes, it should be your choice of you don't give a damn and want everyone else to protect you. But if we don't, don't come crying to us.

You just did. It's been said before but maybe reading it three or more times might get through to Peg. We don't need more laws ,. Just enforce the ones we got. Actually I think they should get rid of a law for every new law they pass.
