They weren't Democrats back then so there was no need to embellish or change the textual meanings. Are you familiar with, for example, the Septuagint? The Old Testament t***slated into Koine Greek? The name Septuagint (from the Latin septuaginta, “70”) was derived later from the legend that there were 72 t***slators, 6 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel, who worked independently to t***slate the whole and ultimately produced identical versions.

We have multiple problems with modern t***slations today for one reason. The Left has produced heretical & heterodox interpreters who have removed the application of such things as g****r from scripture and yet printed special bibles for women.
[b]Matthew 16:18-19
18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
This is a very powerful and revealing statement from our Lord. The gates of hell are gates. A defensive structure!

When Christ proclaimed that these gates are not stronger than His church, His disciples, His devout followers, He is saying that His church has mounted an offensive against hell and will be victorious! And this war will be won using the most powerful weapons that Christ has given us- weapons against which Satan has no defense!

Love, humility, obedience, and sacrifice.

So being gay is not a crime and l***q rights should be protected, but gay sex is still a sin.

Perhaps a bit convoluted, and likely based on one of the many edicts listed in Leviticus.

Of course, there are at 76 edicts mentioned, but the religious right seems to focus all of their attention on leviticus

18.22

Why do they ignore all of the rest?

And now the pope may confuse the weak-minded even more

Decadent, { & religiously irresponsible}...Pope's, have been in existence since Michelangelo...[ & before}

That's why there is a Lutheran movement about...in the world!

[ You heathen-Non-believers, wouldn't know anytyhing about that...[ demoncrats, have not told you yet?]

The Pope is the Bishop of Rome, the successor of St. Peter, the Vicar of Christ. He is not infallible, he is merely the head servant. The Headmaster of the School of Life.

You are making up the opposite of what I said. I did not say that the Pope is not infallible.
Where did you get that? Prove it. I even said, there are things Pope Francis leans to be more Socialist, that I may not agree as other Cardinals.

As human beings they make mistakes!
I even said that no one is perfect except God!

Please stop making up things i did not say. Okay? Thank you.

Sorry Radiance3, I meant to indicate that I totally agree with your post and that you hit the scriptural bulls eye. The other comments I made were just my stream of consciousness.

I just wanted you to know that you have support on OPP and your posts are valued.
