Today, western civilization is being sacrificed on the altar of m**************m and PC virtue signaling.

William Ewart Gladstone (1809–1898) was Prime Minister of Great Britain four times: 1868–74, 1880–85, 1886 and 1892–94. He called the Qur’an an “accursed book” and once held it up during a session of Parliament, declaring: “So long as there is this book there will be no peace in the world.”

The text of the Qur’an has not changed from the late 19th century to the early 21st. What has changed is the prevailing attitude toward the book. Now it has become a manifestation of bigotry and hatred to see in the Islamic holy book anything but peace and tolerance. But the text of the book remains the same. If it was an impediment to peace in Gladstone’s day, it is now. If it is an uplifting exhortation to peace and tolerance now, then it was in Gladstone’s day as well.

A modern politician who expresses Gladstone’s view is banned and suppressed by PC:

[In 2009] Geert Wilders said: “I view Islam not as a religion, but as a dangerous, totalitarian ideology – equal to c*******m and f*****m. Aren’t I allowed to say so?”

No, he isn’t allowed to say so. If he had been born two hundred years ago, he might have become Prime Minister of the Netherlands. Instead, he is a hunted man. Likewise Gladstone, were he miraculously t***sported to the House of Commons in 2023, would be excoriated for “h**e speech” if he dared to repeat his view of the Qur’an today.

Winston Churchill, in his book “The River War: An Historical Account of the Reconquest of the Soudan” from 1899, from when he was a British Army officer, during the Mahdist War (1881–99) in the Sudan. About Islam he wrote:

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries.

The Churchill Centre https://winstonchurchill.org has confirmed these words were indeed written by Winston Churchill:

"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live."

Churchill continued: "A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of s***ery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men."

"Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."

The above-quoted passage appeared in Winston Churchill's "The River War" when it was first published as a two-volume set in 1899, but the se******n was removed when the book was condensed into one volume and republished in 1902."

However, for those who have studied the Qur'an with discernment, and have had the opportunity to live and work among Muslims, as well as those who study Islamic history without bias, Churchill's t***hfulness will forever stand.
Today, western civilization is being sacrificed on... (show quote)

In using search for abrogated verses in the Our'an I found a table describing each one of over 230 verses by several authorities. The main thrust of the changes was to focus Islam on jihad and conquering the world for Islam, it seems. I have not marked up my copy of the Qur'an to reflect these changes, but they are very significant, and must be taken into account!

from Wiki '"The number of verses that are considered to have been abrogated increased dramatically between the eighth and eleventh centuries (al-Zuhri mentions 42 abrogated verses, al-Nahhas 138, and Ibn Salama, 238), at which point an upper limit seems to have been reached (Ibn 'Ata'iqi identifies 231 abrogated verses, and al-Farsi, 248). ..."

Lol... You should have been a math teacher!.

I worked all numbers all day. Numbers, and economics were my favorites.

I wanted to be a math teacher...
In high school my guidance counselor steered me away from it... Said that too few students enjoyed math and I wouldn't be happy...

Oddly enough, my best friend (who struggled with math all through school) wound up becoming a math teacher

You should have been an engineer. Engineers are amazing. Who built this country were smart engineers.

After graduation he biked across Canada with his girlfriend... Then he enrolled in university and got a degree in math...
Wh**ever happened on that bike trip sure made him grow up fast...

It's really what your heart and mind direct where your talents are. But you became a teacher. That was good though. How effective your teachings are, depends upon how your students learned.

It must be miserable to be in the teaching position at present. Kids are rude, violent, and dumb, if you are in Public Schools, and more so in high schools. Kids there are dangerous. They have no moral training at home, with violent kids. And if you discipline, parents will sue you, or kids fight with the teacher. The absence of God in the family has made them so violent these days.

Perhaps you might think how long before you could retire. But hopefully you finish the term to get your benefits; that is how it is here in the US.

I am retired, so I am older than you are. But I retired a little early cause I worked 2 jobs when I was younger. Being Accountant my primary job, and in the Real Estate. I did not stay long in the estate job, I don't like selling. I like solving problems involving numbers. So focused on that till I retired.

Good luck to you, CD! God bless you and family! Christ is the Lord that you and your family have to depend on! Now, my major attention is the Lord. But I become mean when I am upset, when things not going right. Like right now with this president that we have. Allowing China to snoop down on us.

And he also lied again. He said," he did not start the inflation. "
That "it was already there when he came in."

We had only 1.4% inflation as of Jan 20, 2021. But he reversed all Trump's policies. Then everything zoomed high but worthless. Year 2020, under Trump was attacked by C***d19. The high cost of maintenance and prevention accelerated. But prior to that, US did maintain well her financial stability. People were doing well.

Because of Biden's economic policies, worth or value of our assets went down. As our Debts went up. I don't agree with his Economic Officers. Powell and Yellen just obey Biden. They must not do that. They must advise the right thing to do instead of allowing the dictates of the dumb brain Biden.

Our retirement investments shrunk its value as well as growth. About 30% or more. While we dumb our kids in schools, as they become more violent. It is really a going downhill. Kids are the future but they build dumb and violent kids. So that is the future? I may not be able to see that future, but since I care for all people, and this country, then that bothers me.
