The guy has no sense of caution filters when dealing with employees as people, the guy literally thinks people can be bullied and badgered into totally senseless degrees of compliance with his concepts that are beyond stupidity. The guy just seems to like to make people dance to his personal tune.

I've known people that have this style of management, which seems to consist of just how stupidly people can be made to do things...examples such as sweeping and cleaning floors in a shop right in the middle of making a serious mess, it makes no sense to spend half an hour doing the end of the day cleanup twice. I asked a guy repeatedly, did he want me to be able to get a priority job done by the end of the day or did he want to keep taking people away from their jobs to do the things you would normally do at the end of the day after the job is completed.

Musk seems to be trying to create a group that will do wh**ever he wants, will work insane hours, and I'm sure he has no intention of paying people for the 80 hour weeks he wants to demand they do.

I had to pressure illustrators back in the late 70's to work longer hours, it was extremely tricky how you worded forced overtime, never mind the fact that if people are working it they will get paid time and a half or double time beyond 12 hours.

Too many greedy employers are into gaming their employees on overtime they are getting paid for themselves, then they don't want to kick down the time and a half to the people doing the work. Musk creates chaotic pressures by reducing staff, then plays a team player card where he represents the need for exceptional employees that are willing to do insane pushes to save a company. People have a right to refuse to work at abusive levels when the management has created the problem in the first place.
