My apologies.
I'll differ with you on meaningful legislation. It was the tax cut that jimp started the economy out of its slowest recovery in history. The removal of excessive regs helped a lot as well.
Trumps foreign policy was his strength. He shutdown Kim, altered the trade with China via his tariff war, which I think is still in place. He also sanctioned Russia more than anyone. Remember Biden removing some of that allowing Russia to complete their connection to Germany.
He also cooperated with Russia and allowed Russia to defeat ISIS and settle things down in the ME, not to mention the Abraham accords.
He changed trade agreements and set up new ones. Businesses were motivated to return to the US. Our energy production had us very early energy independent as Trump worked with the Saudis to keep oil prices up so that fracking could be profitable.
He dealt with the border rather than ignoring it and lying about it as this admin does.
I ain't a MAGA person, persay, but I liked what Trump was doing despite the 24/7 distractions of the Trump hating l*****ts.
All that in mind, tell me we are better off since Biden took over.
Was that cordial enough for ya?

First of all, your description of anyone here, including myself, as an "influencer" is downright silly. You really think that people are paid to come to OPP and try to change minds? HaHaHa...that's actually ludicrous! π° ππ ππππ πππππ ππππ ππ ππππ
π πππ πππππππ
ππππ! Aren't you, nwtk2007? I mean, is anyone here actually going to change your mind? About anything? Really...influencer?...Jeez Louise.
I am just a retired IT guy, a regular ol' person who is simply inquisitive about the thinking on the "other side", which OPP certainly is! I bet Righties outnumber Libs here 10 or 20 to 1. Amiright? But anyway...
2017 Tax Bill is the ONLY piece of real legislation you cite - This is the ππππ πππππ ππ πππππππππππ πππππππππππ π»ππππ ππππππ
, so I knew you would list it. However, most of the promises made by Repubs regarding that tax cut have really not come to pass. We were told it would pay for itself, right? But it hasn't - the CBO estimates the results long term show it paying about 1/5 of what it cost us, about 1.8 Trillion $ (and increased the deficit by $1.455 trillion). Big Business made out like bandits, though. True, it resulted in some U.S. investments, but not nearly enough to justify itself. In 2019 2/3 of the major U.S. Corporations used their new-found monies to πππ ππππ πππππ πππ πππππ, not invest in new buildings, people, or equipment. Go Google "Did the US economy benefit from 2017 tax bill" and see for yourself. Bloomberg, Forbes, Business Insider, etc. all have the same opinion as I do. You'll have to look very hard to find many economists that praise that Bill.
Further, his "Foreign Policy" πππ πππππππππ πππππππππππ, unless you want to count his "love letters" to Kim. (He "shut him down"? Nope. He continued to launch missiles, and still does to this day.) He alienated many of our longest & most strategic allies and actually questioned the necessity of NATO. IMO, Trump was probably the most ignorant POTUS we have ever had when it came to knowledge of the world around us.
We have never reached energy "independence" if you are just talking about oil. It has been 69 πππππ since the U.S. has produced enough petroleum to meet the daily domestic demand of now 18.684 million barrels per day. We still import most months of the year. Our "independence" is real, but due to other forms of power - like wind, solar, nuclear - being added to the equation, and that started under Obama. Don't take my word for it, check it out and reach your own conclusion.
Finally, there is really no question of who has accomplished more solid legislation to help the American populace, because the Dems own that arena and always have. Social Security, the 40 Hour work week, child labor laws, civil rights, Women's suffrage, a long list that we can thank Dems for - and that Republicans opposed at the time. Sadly, what was once a vibrant Conservative Party has degenerated into what we see today: Republicans, these days, are far more interested in culture wars, CRT, banning books, having the State control women's bodies, and making Americans lose trust in our Democratic norms, including the Supreme Court. They nominate ridiculous people like Marjorie Greene and Herschel Walker and Matt Gaetz who have ππππ ππππππππ ππ ππππππ πππππππππππ - making a mockery of those like John McCain and Teddy Roosevelt and Dwight D. Eisenhower, true Conservatives who definitely had a platform & policies. (Unfortunately, today, even Reagan wouldn't be far right enough for some of these people), and they haven't had a coherent "Platform" or "policies" for years now. Meanwhile, Biden has managed to push through historic legislation in many areas, including infrastructure (a running joke in the prior Administration, always promised but never, ever, done). The first meaningful attempt to combat c*****e c****e. The first Marijuana sentencing reforms, ever. The CHIPS bill, to stimulate U.S. production of high-end computer chips. It's an impressive list to anyone who is not a rightie. Just one bill did this:
Infrastructure - in Billions of Dollars
Roads & Bridges - 134
Intercity rail - 49.9
Mass t***sit - 43.4
Airports - 24.2
Water resources -14.8
Broadband - 61.8
Clean drinking water/wastewater facilities - 62.5
Other - 148.0
When is the last time a Republican POTUS did anything of the sort? Answer: Eisenhower's Interstate Highway Bill.
Trump didn't get elected on "policy". He simply went after people that a lot of the populace also h**ed and made public bigotry OK again...and they loved him for it.
