Watching the press conference; what a smug b***h she is.

And if I understood the questions and her answers, the banks did not accept these exaggerated values as presented and thus there were no moneys given to Trump based upon them. So what is the crime??

It's a $250 million dollar civil suit. It will fail. They will not be able to show actual damages to anyone based on fraud.

It's a big nothing burger. They act like Trumps properties weren't appraised, inspected, etc, etc.

What a joke.

Donny is not laughing. He tried to settle out of court. He made an offer to make the investigation go away. It was rejected. Now his corrupt business practices are going to be exposed in court and in civil maters taking the fifth is an admission of guilt.

Can’t wait for Donny to have to testify under oath.

Oh, dude. If one can settle for less than the legal fees, it is usually done. Juries can be fickle as well. I've been in a court room enough to know, also, that many juries and judges are corrupt. They didn't settle because they want the political fall out. Trump could have offered 300 million and they would have turned it down.

They will also ask the judge to dismiss for lack of evidence or some conflict of interest and it will, of course, all be turned down.

An insurance company tried to put us out of business nearly 20 years ago via a civil law suit. We lost. But 2 years later the appeals court overturned the jury verdict. We later found out that the judge had been c*********d and members of the jury were insurance plants who had lied. It's very common.

So, once again, don't hold your breath. And you'll still get to enjoy the political ramifications. They might help the dems. Then again, maybe not.

If another Trump appointed judge is in charge all bets are off. If a democrat judge is in charge Trump and his cult will cry foul.

Trump could have offered millions to settle and then just billed his supporters to pay it. No, New York want to make it difficult for him to continue to do business this way.

James' office requested that the former president pay at least $250 million in penalties, and that his family be banned from running businesses in the state. Plus more.

If they could prove a crime, this would be a criminal trial.

They couldn’t, so instead they filed a civil suit in order to hype the msm headlines for the next year or so.

Mutton head.

He inflated the value of his properties to obtaining loans and lowered their value tax purposes. The crimes were committed.

Trump was able to find a reputable lawyer, but considering Trump’s history of stiffing people, the smart man demanded $3 million upfront. Of course the Republican Party paid it.
