I didn't say that Issa is a liar. You said "I bet you think that it had gone too far already." I said "you are wrong" meaning that I don't think that it has gone too far. That seems like pretty simple English to me.

People that are to the left of you (Barry Goldwater would be left of you) are not afraid of the t***h and, as long as Issa keeps his committee from indulging in a witch hunt, we are OK with it. This is contrary to the people on the far right who find t***h to be inconvenient so they just ignore it.

Now, if you leave me alone, I will leave you (and this board) alone.

Do you consider the transcripts that Issa put out on the Candy Crowley show on CNN to be untrue? She did but she had to admit that one of those people have asked for a t***sfer to save his own hide from the orders coming in from DC. Issa is running an investigation that you left leaners will consider a witch hunt when the t***h starts coming out. I bet you still believe that those rogue agents in Cincinnati are to blame for all of this. Of course, you could have known that the original reporter on it has found that every one of them has a different manager and that each of them also has a different manager. Of course, to believe all of this a leaner would have had to be listening to that Fox 19 reporter and surely the word fox makes him a liar.

I consider the transcripts are probably a true record of what was said. I don't know if the testimony was accurate but, if it was, then that should be verifiable. I think that determination of what happened should meet the standards of civil proceedings which is "preponderance of the evidence" rather than "beyond reasonable doubt" which is the criminal standard.

I think that you should wait to hear someone from the left say that this has become a witch hunt and not put words in their mouths. Of course, if it actually does become a witch hunt (and I don't know that it will) you shouldn't dismiss people when they say so. Things are what they are.

I don't like Issa, but I don't see that what he is doing now is untoward. Sure, being a Republican he is going to overstate anything that he discovers that would diminish the Administration; but that's what we expect and Issa's actions get a big "so what" from me.

Also, I believe that agents in Cincinnati improperly held up 501(c)4 applications from certain conservative groups. Why they did it and under who's authority is what Issa is in the process of finding out. No need to jump to conclusions unless your interest in this is for the sport (as opposed to wanting to know the t***h about what went on).

Why do so many of you people keep talking about only Cincinatti when other cities all over the nation have mail involved in this kind of activity? I think I may know and it might be the same reason you haven't read the transcripts from Issa that were put forth for Candy Crowley and that would be that you seem to be avoiding looking for fear that you will see something you don't like to see. Take a peek since the transcripts are in a couple or more threads right her on old OPP.

I only mentioned Cincinnati in my response because you only mentioned Cincinnati and the agents in Cincinnati in your question to me. I guess I could have talked about some other random place that doesn't have anything to do with this but why? It isn't because I'm scared of what is going on in those other places its because there's nothing going on in the other places that has anything to do with this.

Also, Cincinnati is the main office where 501(c)4 applications are processed. No matter where your organization might be, the application for 501(c)4 status is going to be processed in Cincinnati (and one other office that I can't remember right now).

I've seen the transcripts (or excerpts of them) and I'm not scared by them. Why would I be?

Perhaps keeping your umbrella in the same place at all times would be beneficial to locating it.

It is my personal opinion that every single IRS employee, including the new promoted employee to handle ACA for the IRS, should forthwith be terminated with notation in their personnel file stating they are ineligible for rehire in any Federal Agency at any time.

It is my personal opinion that all individuals in the employ of the White House who knew about this should be terminated forthwith. If those employees include Chief of Staff, White House Counsel, Jay Carnival, etc. remove them from their position.

By enacting such removals, the public in all areas would be reassured, by actions not words, the President is serious about his statements to the effect these behaviors are not acceptable.

I am with you on all that you said. Everyone of them should be terminated and not be eligible for any government work at all.

There is no way that Liar-in-Chief is serious about his statements regarding the behavior of his minions. He is just doing his normal dog and pony show for the people while inside he is seething because they got caught.

And not be allowed to draw any sort of benefits what so ever!

Damme, I am glad that you didn't carry out your threat of earlier to leave us.

Tomorrow you will be able to hear the next installment of Issa's investigation if you can get Fox News since they show things like that. It may get pretty good before it is over.

Have you heard that Obama's half-brother applied for one of those things from the IRS in 2010 and that his went through in less than a month. Of course, the group he applied for was called the Barack H. Obama Foundation. Not only did he get his approval in less than a month it was retroactive back to 2008.

Well said Randi but I use the title Liar in Chief for Jay Carney.

Thanks, but I only plan on responding to things addressed directly to me. I'll not inflict my opinion on other threads. Eventually, this will let me fade away without being rude.

I'd be a lot happier seeing the transcripts than just getting Issa's interpretation of what well-chosen excerpts say. As a wise man once said: "trust everyone, but cut the cards."

So you didn't get to read the transcripts that Issa gave to Crowley on CNN? Don't be afraid to look at things like that.

He only gave excerpts and his interpretation of what those excerpts mean. At one point, Crowley even said that what the transcript said didn't match up with Issa's claims.

I don't understand your obsession about my being afraid. Do you think that I'm going to cower in the corner because some government official gets caught doing something bad? If someone does something illegal, they should suffer the consequences, no matter who they are. No one in the country should be above the law.

Do you remember how Candy Crowley lied during that debate last summer? You sound like you don't but in listening to her I could hear her dong the same thing again.

Why do I sound like I didn't hear what she said during the debate? I heard the debate and she was right. Obama did use the word "terror" in his speech in the rose garden. He said "act of terror" and Romney was trying to say that Obama didn't say "terrorist act". Wasn't the proudest moment of the debates for any of them but there was no outright lie.

I think that she was absolutely right in her interview with Issa. Issa was saying that this agent said that he was getting direction from Washington. The agent was asked if the directions he was receiving were coming from Washington. He said "they could have." That is not the same a simple "yes". Basically the guy was saying he didn't know where these orders were coming from. Crowley was right in calling Issa on it.

Show is the transcripts and let us decide for ourselves what they say. We don't need either of these people interpreting for us.
