This is the new spin that Liberals are putting on last evening. I find it sad that they can not accept defeat with some grace. Pity that they can not shake the hand of the elected and extend an invitation to work with fresh new ideas instead of the broken promises and lies from the past years. Sad for the Liberals.... I hope that this starts a new age of cooperation and moving forward once again. Perhaps .... but, this may be too much to hope for after so many years of disappointment!

Everybody is spinning, so it shouldn't be surprising that liberals are also engaged in that activity. I disagree that the e******n victory is somehow an 'illusion': a win is a win, and 2 nights ago the Republicans won big.

I do hope that the Republicans come up with a governing coalition, but I'm not optimistic. The lack of optimism comes from the internal divisions between the insurgent conservatives and the establishment politicians. I suspect there will be conflict between the House and Senate. I would like to see conservatives present a coherent set of programs and policies for the President to either veto or sign. It would set up a clear cut choice for the American people in 2016. If the President vetoes most of the legislation, Republicans can argue for a President from their party. It would also sharpen the Democrats positions out of necessity, and require the Democratic candidate to articulate why the Republican program is unacceptable.

I'm pretty keen to see how this Congress acts, because a unified Congress would be a pretty good challenge to the executive branch sets up 2016 as a potentially t***sforming and clarifying e******n.

I am inclined to say in your face Obama, Reid and Pelosi but we should ask ourselves why do we h**e Reid so much?

Are we going to govern in the same way he has chosen over these last 6 years?

Or are we going to give them a voice and in return get some of them to agree with some of our ideas.

But if obama does a EO on immigration I think the only answer will have to be impeachment.

we should make a budget and at least let them have a v**e on a bill like the demorats didnt do for the last 8 yrs.

Like I said, wait and see. Their way or the highway will be what? Payback? Fine, if that's the way they want to play it. I was suggesting that Republicans have a chance to; stop the blame game, act like adults and avoid "reprisals", recognize that they need to represent the WHOLE country and not just a minority of it and prove that they DO have the interests of the "little people" in mind.

It will be what it will be, but trading one group of a$$holes for another is not an improvement. Democrats have few redeeming qualities, but neither do Republicans, so a "win" is really a farce, since the same people have purchased the whole shebang anyway. The day neither Republicans nor Democrats control ANYTHING, will be the day I celebrate a victory. Until then, it's just more of the same crap with different players. I'm glad I wasn't holding my breath for any adults to show up in the Government. My bad was even in hoping that some would run for office. Wh**ever was I thinking?
