I am a Medicare & Social Security beneficiary but there will have to be curtailing of it. It is an actuarial nightmare and was right from its inception. Barry Goldwater warned about it in the 1950s and 69s and the reactions were just as hysterical as this.

Few know it but there was no altruism behind its beginning. FDR wanted to get the beneficiaries off the unemployment rolls to show that his f*****t inspired New Deal was working.

The ratio of workers to beneficiaries was very high at the time, I think 20:1. It is approaching 2:1. Even a liberal can understand that it can't go on forever.
