The problem isn't d**g q***n hour, or 'g***ming'...the problem is that you and the right want to see the LBGTQ+ community pushed back into the closet, to pretend they don't exist. Don't like d**g q***n hour? Don't go, don't take your children. Wh**ever.

My best advise? Leave them alone...treat them equally under the law and especially don't make laws the single the groups out as pariahs. Nothing good has ever come out of official discrimination.

Hold on thar. Things are not as cut and dry as you make out. The school district must be rolling in dough. If they can waste $ 200 Grand on this nonsense, then I think the taxpayers should get a refund. School is about teaching, not about wasting good money to teach garbage so that an ideology can be imprinted on young children. The good people in the school administration responsible for this travesty need to be fired.

You said " No one is forcing parents to d**g their children to d**g hour. " Well then either YOU or the NY Post don't know what you are talking about. From the NY Post article. " STAR Academy parents were told of the in-school d**g session ahead of time, Neverson said — but could not opt their kids out of it. "

So which is it ? Are you right and the NY Post is WRONG ??????????????????????

It wasn't a personal attack. "F*ggots" and 'sissies' have been the targets of harassment and violence for ages. That is what you (the right) are proposing we return to, singling out a group to lawfully discriminate against.

We are proposing that you STOP shoving it in our faces!! Go home, do what you do with each other in the PRIVACY of your own homes and stop trying to make us all believe that what you're doing with each other is natural and right.

If you want us to stop bothering you, stop bothering us!!!

You make this personal. I'm a happily married heterosexual.

Yet from my perspective your 'stop shoving it in our faces' means 'go back in the closet and let me pretend you don't exist'.

What part of "shoving it in our faces" don't you get? I didn't say go back anywhere or pretend anything. Just stop trying to MAKE us believe what you believe! We have just as much a right to think what you are doing is wrong as you do thinking what you're doing is right. Live your lives. Do your thing, but stop parading around in clown costumes, outlandish "women's" clothing and acting like primadonnas.

AND LEAVE OUR CHILDREN ALONE!!!!!

You really aren't paying attention to what I write, are you? I'm a happily married heterosexual. I don't parade in costumes, etc.

You make a fair point. Early school is probably not the right environment for such an event. The school part of the first article didn't sink in, just the vitriol of the tweeter.
However, private businesses are also being harassed and threatened with violence for hosting such events. How is that acceptable?

Yes you made that clear. You also made clear that you support homosexuals, so....here it is:

I am tired of everybody being labeled a bigot or h********c because they don't agree with the lesbian, gay, bisexual and t*********r group. Businesses are being threatened with bad publicity or their establishments being burned to the ground. Politicians are being forced to go against their own principles and morals to appease a small group (about 5% of the population) of people. Politicians were elected to represent the majority. The majority of the people are against gay marriage. If this issue was v**ed on at the b****t box, I guarantee it would not pass because the majority of the people would v**e against it.

I have friends and family who are gay. I don't like this issue being crammed down my throat. I believe the majority of the people feel they are being force-fed the gay marriage issue. I feel that two men together and two women together goes completely against nature. If they want to be together, that is fine. They need to keep it to themselves, behind closed doors like heterosexual people want to when they have sex. This whole issue is about people having sex with each other, and that is something that belongs in the privacy of their own homes, not prancing down the street looking like clowns or reading books in libraries dressed like clowns. Everyone is afraid to say anything for the fear of being labeled. People need to stand up for what they believe in and not be bullied.

Misdirection on your part. I must say, I am impressed. Let me explain. We are only discussing D**g Q***n Hour in the Schools and whether anyone who is appalled by this has a right to speak against it with out being savagely attacked.

Now you wish to widen the discussion by bringing in private businesses hosting D**g Q***n Events, plus the alleged harassment and threats of violence against those private business events. That's misdirection. Nice try.

I speculate, because I have no way of knowing, that D**g Q***ns and their events are routinely subjected to harassment and threats in private businesses. You are cleverly linking that harassment and those threats, to parents and this Councilwoman objecting to School Children being exposed to D**g Q***n Hour.

Kudos for giving it the old college try, but it is a false linkage. It is more victimization virtue signaling which the Left has perfected. Prior attempts by the Left were making false claims of systematic r****m against the Police and all White People. You seem to be sincere in your arguments so far. As am I. Generally this is the point where everything goes off the rails.

As Son of witless pointed out the parents could not opt out of "D**g Q***n Hour", what was the threat to their children that prevented the parents from keeping their children home. Permanent negative additions to their school records? If the parents could not opt out, how did the State plan to coerce them? It should bother any freedom loving American that a school system would invite controversial guest speakers, with no consideration for parental input...and then threaten the parents for speaking up... with what?

I'm totally in agreement with you EmilyD seems to me they know in their hearts what they are doing is wrong , but instead of changing they demand everyone accept their sexual dysfunctional views as pure and wholesome .

I agree that their silly and lewd performance in public is d********g !

I don't care if you are tired of being labeled a bigot. If the shoe fits, wear it. Gay marriage is about rights, not sex. What's it to you how people dress, who someone loves, if people hold hands on the street, if I support gay rights?
You're still free to be the bigoted person you were, are, and forever will be. If anyone is bullying, it's you.

Nope...."you" can also refer to a group, in this case the right wing homophobes. If you're part of that group, then the shoe fits. If not, then I was not referring to you.
