There has been so much said about Obama and Solyndra so I decided to do a little research as to how this company had qualified for stimulus money. And to look at the GOPTP claim that Obama headed a company that donated to his campaign which I found out was one of those Fox News lies because the president and CEO of Solyndra was actually a registered republican but let's not let facts get confused with Half t***hs .

To put things in prospective we all have to understand corporate failure rate of all companies going in and out of business instead of the propaganda spread by the right that 9 out of 10 companies go out of business. Although the failure rate is high but we have to keep in mind that companies do fail in this country for any number of reasons. But if we don't invest in start up companies there would be no success stories so the stats that I found were as follows. Year #1----25% failure rate. Year #5------55% year #10---71%

Now the clearest evidence that I could find that Solyndra was a worthy recipient of the stimulus is it also attracted big name investors and top venture capital firms including Richard Branson, KKR, and Argonaut Private Equity.
In a 2010 Article in the WSJ named Solyndra the top Venture backed Clean-Tech company. The MIT Technology review named it one of the worlds 50 most innovative companies in the world. Goldman Sachs was the lead investment banker. So the notion that Solyndra was a boondoggle for Obama cronies is silly. The Kaiser Family invested in Solyndra as did a lot of unnamed republicans.
Solyndra's 2nd largest investor was Madrone Capital Partners which is also linked to the Walton Family hardly friends of Obama.

Solyndras lobbyist firm was Bill Weld a prominent supporter of Mitt Romney. Hardly friends of Obama. Kind of blows away Mitts dumb comments.

Solyndra fell also under the Bush Energy Policy Act of 2005 and then was expanded into the American Recovery Act. The Bush administration Department of Energy selected that Solyndra move forward in the process.

I think we all remember when Fox reported they quoted the inspector General said that contracts were steered towards Obama friends I found that to be crazy. Inspector General never said that. Fox was asked for documentation and as it turned out it produced an article , but all it was is an excerpt from a book. (Throw Them ALL OUT) by Peter Schweizer who served as an advisor to Sarah Palin.

The Fox report of course started a major investigation by House Republicans always looking for a scandal. Found no evidence of wrong doing in the Loan Guarantee Program. Fox has still not reported on there findings and allowed the GOPTP to continue to think of wrongdoings. If you read the report it also indicated that Solyndra was seen by many business experts as promising.

The report also indicated that Solyndra had not donated any money to Obama. This was strictly a republican investigation. The investigation consisted of 32 congressional letters, compiled 187,000 pages of documents, 72,000 pages from Solyndra investors 9 committee staff interviews briefings, 5 full committee hearings and $7 million spent and could find no wrongdoings were reported. But did Fox inform there cult followers that nothing found.

It has been reported that the reason the GOPTP scandals persist because it is a handy pretext for demanding documents , and who knows what might turn up. There constant fishing expeditions are just costing this country millions but they never report there findings and just move onto the next fishing expedition.

Just remember there are always risks involved with investing in innovation and corporation succeed and they fail in this country. But does that mean this country stops investing. How many times in the history of this country have we invested innovation and things fail but we lean from it and move on. Only under Obama are such things just blown out of proportion.

Defense Star Wars how much did Reagan invest and we all know what a big failure that was. I am not trying to criticize anybody that invest in innovation that's how our country has advanced. But why now

This reminds me of Mark Twain's description of Arkansas's 19th Century sexual morals. I would quote Mr. Twain here but he uses the N word to demonstrate how closed minded the Democrat Party was about sex in Twain's day and today the Democrats' minds are just as closed about economic issues.

To read tdsrnest ramblings you get the idea that he believes that Soyndra would be rolling in the coins today if the Democrat Party could only lynch Shaun Hannity or Laura Ingram like the Arkansas Democrat Party in Twain's day lynched African Americans.
