The high cost of living is a bigger driver than taxes, I moved a business to Sparks Nevada outside of Reno, figuring the labor pool would be better there. Finding or trying to find 140 good employees sucked. I was getting work from the Reno area and having to shift it to my still operating Sacramento location...there were no tax advantages to Nevada, and labor pickup and delivery was k*****g me.

My wife and I make decent money, and the state taxes are not that big a deal, between zero and $1100 or so.

People leave California because of attitude, and good riddance to them. I know two people who went to Tennessee and they feel like they are in a hell hole.

California got 555 billion in c***d relief funds. Nearly two to ten times more than any other state. Now, after two years of shutdowns there, by some miracle they have a 100 billion in surplus but you don't think one is related to the other?

I lived in San Diego from 1960 to 1985 couldn't take the way the state was being run, said goodbye to Calif and have been a happy camper ever since.
