Please see Permafrost's posted reply. That should do it as he has a site you should look into. That will answer your questions. ;) ;)

My husband's best friend told of the time he beat up on a "q***r" who approached him. As we left their home, my husband commented that anyone who would do that is usually "latent" and are afraid to let "those people" near for fear of discovering what is truly within themselves.
I don't think so. I think they're just mean intolerant ass holes.

I have never caused physical harm to your buddies and could really care less about them.
Its when your belly aching about how they're mistreated when this country constantly effects how the other 85% of the people are supposed to live to accommodate there perverse ways that I comment, don't like my comment don't bring it up while talking about Obamas self promotion and brainwash of our children.

I've read both Orwell books - more than once and years apart. I will get the the "Blue" book probably next week as I am presently involved with another (or two).

Claiming that President Obama's mention in history is absolutely foolish. It had already become history the moment he was elected and took office. That fact that he is the first non-caucasian cannot be denied. It happened, of course to the dismay of many but not as many who v**ed for him twice. You fools are the ones that are attempting to change history by proving he was not eligible for the office. You lost!

Orwell's books haven't changed. They still tell the same story. It is a warning of what could happen if "creative" people like you had the opportunity to take over.  ;)

The race card really!
Its funny that you and the left think just because people disagree w/ the lies that got him in office that we are r****t.
I'm not r****t, and you should know that I actually v**ed for him in 2008, as he promised to repeal the Patriot Act (first of many many lies). Unlike you it didn't take me long to realize I had been scooped by a lieing POS that not only didn't repeal the law, but allowed The violation of the 4 th amendment to enter new levels w/ data mining and NSA spying. Perhaps you should go back and listen to his 2008 inauguration speech, it worth a good laugh.
Sooner or later you are going to have to realize his policies are destructive to this country and hold this man accountable for his actions.I'm sure you had no problem holding Bush accountable, maybe you should ask yourself why Obama gets a free pass for failed policies.
It doesn't make you wonder why many Dems running for office do they're best to distance themselves from him?

The most reliable statistics indicate that about 1.7% of men are exclusively homosexual, .7%o of women are exclusively homosexual, perhaps .5 % are bisexual, a small percent have no sexual desire at all. As adults the whole combination of homosexual, bi sexual t*********r, questioning and asexual is around 3% The reason that they have so much power is till beyond me, the activists are backed by heavy financing from outside sources.

Many of President Obama's successes have been stated on this forum but either you don't believe them (or are unwilling to research them) or you prefer to give credit to something else. Just so long as Obama doesn't get the credit. Please do, just once, access WH.gov and find out the reality. Over half the country does not have any objection to homosexuality, gay marriage or wh**ever. It is only narrow-minded people like you who think the "entire" structure is being upset. You are considering only your structure.

Change is difficult, especially if you've been inundated with set ideas. But you must be able to see that the world, including the U.S. is changing. If you don't keep up with it, you are left by the wayside. The young people are seeing much more clearly than those old farts who will avoid change as much as possible. The old have built a dam but the fluidity of the young will, of necessity, pull it apart for their own survival.

Ya gotta be with it, man! The only thing definite in life is change.

Once progressives have changed our way of thinking with all that propaganda for 4th graders what will you say if someone tries to use the same method to change the thinking of later young people? You know as well as I do that once progs get things where they want them they will completely be against change.

I just took a test about government and US History and wonder how you could do on it. I will probably post an opportunity for you to try it out and I am sure you will have to have help from prog propaganda to pass it. Don't feel bad about that since you do have lots of prog company here.

Better do it quick before history changes again, after all if the Boston Tea Party was an act of terrorism, then by the same logic Harriet Tubman sold tokens in the subway ;)

I don't know why the reason they have power is beyond you, the answer is obvious. They control the media.

This is a little news for you lefties about how bad things are getting with Your GAY Imam obamination, by the way he is NOT BLACK.

A new CATO study has found that liberty and freedom in the United States is rapidly declining
That is also the case for ‘economic freedom,’ in which the U.S. is no longer even in the top 10-ranked countries
In 2000, the year President George W. Bush was elected, the U.S. ranked 2nd globally in economic freedom
As government growth has exploded, overall liberty and freedom has shrank
By Charles Greene
Although the word “freedom” can be defined or measured in several ways, it seems rather obvious to many of us that the overall level of freedom in the United States is on the decline, and there is evidence to support this.

Recently, the Cato Institute released its annual Economic Freedom of the World report. The study is compiled by a worldwide consortium of think tanks and is designed to “measure the consistency of the institutions and policies of various countries with voluntary exchange and the other dimensions of economic freedom.”

The rather sobering results of this year’s report indicate that the U.S. is no longer among the top ten nations in terms of economic freedom, having fallen from second place in less than 15 years.
From the summary of the report:
“The United States, once considered a bastion of economic freedom, now ranks 12th in the world, tied with the United Kingdom at 7.81. Due to a weakening rule of law, increasing regulation, and the ramifications of wars on terrorism and drugs, the United States has seen its economic freedom score plummet in recent years, compared to 2000 when it ranked second globally.”
The study measures various indicators, including size of government, the strength of the money supply and the amount of free trade. The U.S. now trails behind such nations as Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand, Switzerland and others.
Our ranking continues to drop in terms of the size of the government (in other words, our government continues to grow). We are not as big yet relative to population, as France or Italy, but we’re getting there. In fact, our government has become bigger than the governments of 45 other nations.
Michael Tanner, senior fellow at the Cato Institute, wrote a commentary in the National Review Online, examining the results of the study.
Tanner sees some very disturbing trends occurring in the U.S.:
“[No longer] are we a bastion of free trade; we now rank 29th worldwide. Of particular concern, the soundness of our money continues to erode. As recently as 2005, we were an unsurprising number one. Today, after years of quantitative easing, we’ve slipped to 38th.
Even more frightening, in 1980, when the report was first issued, the U.S. legal system and our respect for property rights were the world’s best. In 2000, we still ranked in the top ten. Today, we have fallen to 36th, trailing countries like Malaysia, Namibia, and Cyprus.”
Frightening, indeed. Tanner points to negative trends in the legal system such as an increase in the use of eminent domain to seize private property, and a rise in property seizures from the wars on terrorism and drugs.
He notes that:
“Overall, the report concludes that the United States ‘experienced a significant move away from rule of law and toward a highly regulated, politicized, and heavily policed state.’”
With a touch of grim humor, Tanner observes that we can at least take some comfort in looking down on other nations worse off than our own, such as the world’s bottom ten countries which include Venezuela, the Republic of the Congo, Zimbabwe, Argentina, Algeria, Iran, Chad, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Myanmar.
But as Tanner puts it:
“Still, we should probably shoot for something a little higher than not being Chad.”
Agreed. But sadly, this year’s report may not be nearly as bad as those of upcoming years – most of the data this study was based on is two years old. Once the effects of Obamacare kick in, our rankings are likely to drop even further.
And there are other measures besides economic ones that can be used to determine a nation’s overall level of freedom, and the U.S. is not coming up smelling like a rose in those areas, either.
Tanner points out that:
“…while this report looked only at economic freedom (which is why Hong Kong and Singapore scored so high), the United States’ growing surveillance state, the ongoing wars on drugs and terror, police militarization, and the increasingly intrusive regulatory bureaucracy raise important questions about civil liberties and civil rights as well.”
In conclusion, Tanner warns that even though yearly fluctuations in the report are nothing to get too excited about, our nation’s standing as a bastion of freedom continues to erode. He compares our situation to the “frog in the proverbial slowly heating pot of water” – we may not notice the gradual changes, but our situation is indeed nearing the boiling point.
Recent surveys indicate that the vast majority of Americans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, a sentiment that has exploded during the Obama years. Do YOU believe America is becoming less free? If so, what are the things YOU see that make you think so? TELL us!
