Around half of Americans (48%) see gun violence as a very big problem in the country today, according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted in April 2021. That’s comparable to the share who say the same about the federal budget deficit (49%), violent crime (48%), i*****l i*********n (48%) and the c****av***s outbreak (47%). Only one issue is viewed as a very big problem by a majority of Americans: the affordability of health care (56%).
Another 24% of adults say gun violence is a moderately big problem. About three-in-ten say it is either a small problem (22%) or not a problem at all (6%).

Every time this comes up, we tell the kooks that the guns are not the problem, people are. Then the medical community pipes up and says, we can't become responsible for the psychiatric evaluation of potential shooters. So, the kooks turn to the innocent guns as the evil. The idea of zero guns in the community is frightening, what with the rise in crime from the kooks because of defunding the police!
Thus, more shootings, and more kooks yelling for no guns and no police.

I will die holding my gun.

Bad guys do not have to have a gun to be dangerous - especially to women and the elderly.

If a minority group of people was five times more often in using guns to commit crimes than the rest of the population would it make sense to regulate their access to firearms rather than doing so to the entire population?

Think about this, KevvY, if you got rid of every gun in America, crazy people would find another way to k**l you. However, if you got rid of all the crazy people, guns wouldn't do a damn thing but sit there.

Someone once said that if guns were suddenly eliminated, the big and strong would rule.

That was tried once.

It was called 'The Dark Ages'.
