Why Russia has had to run and hid at the Donbass

For those who are cheering your Russian heroes on. Even though Russia has the world's largest and supposedly strongest military yet they have been fumbling and bumbling their way all the way back to the Donbas (That's right, not towards it but back to it). And I know that you Russian Cheerleaders are going to argue that that was their goal all along but certainly not losing 460 mainline battle tanks (Imagine the US losing 460 M1A1 Abram's and you get the picture) and over 2000 armored vehicles plus over 10,000 Russian troops couldn't have been anywhere in their plans; not only two months into the war.

And the thing is, fighting in the Donbas isn't going to be much easier; not if tanks and armored vehicles play into your equation--which they do because Russia wasn't able to establish the air superiority (their helicopters) that they were looking for. I mean, with the American Stinger missile against Russian helicopters and anything that isn't hypersonic has to be worrying them. This leaves the Russian military to fight against the Ukrainian military which, as we can see from Russian losses, makes things more than even. And yes, we can figure Russia to adapt but so will Ukraine which sunk the p***e of the Russian Baltic fleet using its own technology. So with Russian ships and almost anything Russian in the air susceptible to Ukrainian forces, this battle in the Donbas looks to, at least be interesting...from the point of view of Ukraine that is.

Now we know the reason that Putin warned Biden to stop sending supplies to the Ukrainians; because the Ukrainians are kicking Russia's ass. And yes, I know that you will point to all the damage that Russia has done to civilian infrastructure but that's all they can target since they've effectively lost the war against the Ukrainian military. Now all of us have to hope that Biden is the coward that we hope he is because if he isn't and he doesn't give Putin the oral gratification that Trump did, then Putin is nuts enough with an ego big enough to go nuclear...and none of us want that.

Snip>>>Russia's first mistake was to underestimate the strength of resistance and the capabilities of Ukraine's own smaller armed forces. Russia has an annual defense budget of more than $60bn, compared with Ukraine's spending of just over $4bn.

At the same time, Russia, and many others, appear to have overestimated their own military strengths. President Putin had embarked on an ambitious modernization program for his military and he too may have believed that his own hype was all that was important

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-56720589

That last paragraph, and last sentence, are the most important because that is exactly how Soviet leaders were treated; because those under them were afraid for their lives, so telling them what they want to hear, not what they needed to hear was the rule for staying alive. And that's not surprising because in Putin we have someone brought-up as a Soviet, and in the Soviet-style, who is currently the defacto Czar/Stalin of all Russia where he now badly wanted to include Ukraine as part of HIS whole; because it was the breadbasket of the old Soviet empire.

What I love about all you conservatives, who are strict and complete anti-c*******ts with all of your very hearts, but you are happy to embrace their current leader even though he wants to rebuild the old Soviet Union! In case you don't know what's happening here: ideologically you've rejected left-wing c*******m in favor of right-wing authoritarian/f*****m, which is as far right as you can go (look it up)...and this is the important part...there isn't a lick of difference between their ruling styles. See, Stalin and Adolf Hitler if you need a reference for how far left one can go and how far right the other...then ask yourself, if there is a lick of difference? Both are dictators of the proletariat That's where you hoped Trump would lead you. And since you haven't a clue what ideology is how are you going to know when you do; when you are goose-stepping down Pennsylvania avenue--oh how badly Trump wanted you to do just that very thing! So maybe you weren't that very far from goose-stepping after all? Oh happy days, oh happy days...I can just hear it now!

And just one more thing. because Fox is threatened with going off the air if you cons don't watch them; they tell you what you want to hear not what you need to hear--else YOU WILL no longer watch them!

Sound familiar Blade-Runner? You once asked me what was wrong with this, minus the part about not watching them again...though I doubt that you ever would. Have you figured it out or has right-wing propaganda destroyed any and all ability for you to critical think...how happy that will make Putie when he's heard that you to have fallen in line!

I should have known that the Nuckled**ggers would be the first to fall. Be careful that you don't slip on any of the drool coming out of your mouth...I hear it gets really messy down there. I know you can't control it...it sorta comes with your ideology. And I guess it's better to be the national fruit of Russia (POtaatoe) than to think that you had a potato head for an American leader--though Potato head fits Donald J much better than it fits Biden! After all, we didn't have to make up anything about Trump where you needed your full Right-Wing propaganda machine to go after Joe. And go back and read what I wrote (I know you didn't) because it fits both Russia and Conservatives all the same!

Question Peter... What are the Ukrainian military's losses to date???

You seem pretty aware of Russia's... So I'm sure your equally aware of the Ukraine's...

Especially as they aren't lying like the Russians...

I'll wait while you post that information

Spin? So the Russians didn't fall back to the Donbas after trying and failing to take Kyiv, incurring massive destruction to their armor plus casualties in the tens of thousands along the way, which included the sinking of Russia's front-line Cruiser in the Baltic by two Ukrainian built Cruise missiles? Because if you have bothered to read anything I wrote that's the basis of what I said.

Or are you saying that I didn't phrase it the way you liked it so it was spin--the operative phrase being anything you don't like being spin! So were you trained to think this way through propaganda or because you critically think objectively in order to find the t***h (and if you are being objective, demonstrate how you are, because refusing to read something isn't critical nor rejecting it because it doesn't say what you want it to say.) And while you are at it, tell me how you know the difference between propaganda and t***h when most of what you hear from the Right is the propaganda that you approve of else you wouldn't listen anymore, would you!

Now you really need to read what I wrote because it tells why you are trained to think the way that you think; give me what I want or I won't listen to you! And if you have no critical sk**ls left then you may not care why you are trained to think the way you do; but if you do, then read the whole thing even if it grates against every fiber of your conservative being!

Now explain to me how that's spin--ELWNJ--or otherwise? And while you are at it explain what an ELWNJ is because I'm not you so I wouldn't have the slightest idea what you are talking about, I'm assuming you are somehow mocking me since that's the heart of what you conservatives are trained by your propaganda to do.

And I don't mind who calls me a friend, I even married into a conservative family and I know that at least my mother-in-law downright likes me. She would say 'love' but I'm being modest...And I used to have two friends on the conservative part of the message board but it's down to 1 since Herr Trump took over the Republican party.

For those who are cheering your Russian heroes on.... (show quote)

So did you manage to d**g your knuckles to a computer or were you given an I-phone and you managed to do it from there? And it had to be an I-phone else the drool on the floor would have shorted out any other phone!

And I don't mind who calls me a friend, I even married into a conservative family and I know that at least my mother-in-law downright likes me. She would say 'love' but I'm being modest...And I used to have two friends on the conservative part of the message board but it's down to 1 since Herr Trump took over the Republican party. I guess, once Trumpified always you can never go back...eh!

Nothing there but cheap insults and vainglorious chest thumping.

Hardly an intelligent response.
