The last one reminds me of the solar road the French built, a roadway paved with solar panels that quickly fell into disrepair. Another boondoggle wasteful project.

I like tying their raises to the CPI so they can see how f**e these stats are. Like right now with the price of gas. Oh, that's right, they all have government cars and drivers or they own lexus' so they aren't affected.

I meant to say, Tesla, not Lexus.

2 Questions: 1) Term Limits for All Government Officials from President Down.. Should we? If so, How many years for the senate and congress.. 2) Should congress and the senate's raises be on the v****g b****t, so we the people can V**e on it? My Choice Most Definitely YES on Both!

Definitely yes on both I think for Senate and Congress 12 years increase the congressional races to every 3 years.

The purpose of the senate having 6-year terms is so that they are not given in to emotion. Hence, this is why they are called the most deliberative body in the world. Unfortunately, they don't live up to that standard, especially with the repeal of the 17th Amendment that selects Senators by Popular v**e. However, every e******n cycle only 1/3 of Senators are up for e******n. It is to provide less partisan influence in each e******n. Can you imagine if the Democrats had won a clear majority in the Senate this last time; They would hold both houses of Congress and the Presidency. Every four year could become a free-for-all of factions with shifting policies back and forth based more on a whim rather than what is right and good for America and its people.

Well..it almost already is, given Kamala is the deciding v**e in a tie.. fortunately, Manchin & Sinema have kept the tie at bay on a few of things here recently..so the house is dem, the admin is dem.. senate potentially is for the above reason.

We have term limits for the dipsticks in Congress. They're called e******ns. The fault does not lie so much with the crooked politicians as with the v**ers who re-elect incumbent Senators at an average rate of 97%, and Representatives at a rate of over 80%, and then b***h about term limits. The Federal Judiciary, whose members are nominated by the president and confirmed by whomever controls the Senate, are lifetime political appointees with incredible power. This needs to stop. Term limits there, including the SCOTUS, would de-politicize the Court. I would say one six year term for the Federal Judiciary, including the SCOTUS.
I think all elected officials in DC should live in dorm type housing with a cafeteria for meals. They should get a t***sportation and clothing allowance and make minimum wage. That might just separate the public servants from the weasels that service the public. (In case you wonder about the difference between "serve" and "service;" a shepherd serves his flock. a ram services a ewe when she's in season.)
Politicians need to be reminded frequently that they work for us, not the other way around. The best way to do this is to limit their lifestyle while they are in office and v**e them out after two terms.

Also get rid of Citizens United. Corporations are not people when donations to campaigns are done by a few board of directors and because the stockholders and the employees have no say in who the corporations donate to.

Also pass an accountability and t***sparency law that all congress critters are required to keep a log of all lobbyist they have meetings with as well as any special interest groups they have contact with,

yes to both from me, and terms should be no longer then 8 years "combined" AND "no paychecks for life". That irks me to the core!

The crooks enrich themselves and don't need a paycheck for life. What they need is to be kicked to the curb.

I am generally in favor of term limits.

However, we need to consider some 'unintended consequences'. I would be concerned that term limits would strengthen the power of bureaucrats.

Smedley posted about the Congress critters living in 'dorm style' domiciles. Not a bad idea....

I am in absolute agreement with dorm style housing and have been for years. When we served our two years in the service we lived in barracks. We ate in mess halls. I would even go so far as not BQ's, good old fashioned barracks, like one platoon per room.

Pretty sad when the servants of the people make more in a month than what most of us couldn't make in a year!.. it's d********g! I also feel they should have to live with Obummer care!!.. Bettin Nancy would have to go without her botox & booze!
