If the tax rate is 10 % on the Big Guy's gift to H****r, what is the amount owed in taxes to the Federal government ? Hint, the tax is equal to the IQ of the Big Guy. IQ = z/10. The IQ of the Big Guy is 40.

Bulworth is a fictional story. It didn't really happen. Why would I get anything of value about why California Public Schools can't teach algebra to minorities from a movie about a Liberal Politician having a meltdown ? I read the plot on line.

Since you are too tired to continue, have a good evening.

Well no schitt, it didn't happen. The plot is not important, either. It's about a culture. It's about how things in the messed up world of the ghetto are.

Pull your head out.

You're making excuses for bad schools. How the hell can things get better in ghettos when schools decide to stop teaching a subject the kids need ? Failing the kids in the class would be better than pretending they don't need to learn. I am calling out this particular action of the school in addressing the problem they have.

This goes beyond the school. Liberal jackasses in universities are dumming down college courses because minorities are not competing well with W****s and Asians. That's bull.

The teachers in the ghetto schools are the ones who have the greatest desire to teach. Literally.

And I agree with you on the rest.

Three words: Lack of Discipline. When I was in elementary, junior high and high school, teachers taught, students learned or parents, (as in two-parent households) would know the reason why. School boards were answerable to concerned parents. The average high school student today graduates with what would have been a mediocre 6th grade education in the early seventies. When I was in college I made "walking around" money by correcting papers for upperclassmen and graduate students so they wouldn't look like the morons they were. Misspellings, punctuation mistakes, grammatical and factual errors galore. ( I went to college after a hitch in the Army). Most of the people I graduated high school with could have done this as well. Of course, between my graduation from high school and matriculation at an institution of lower learning, something called the Department of Ejamuhkashun, (brainchild of none other than Jimmuh Cahtuh) was created.
Education begins at home. Kids need to learn they are responsible for their actions and actions have consequences. At least, they used to.
Teachers are frequently blamed for misbehavior on the part of students. Black students can always holler "r****m." Isn't it funny how the Asian kids never do that?
Ever wonder why black kids in small towns do better scholastically than those in big cities?

Okay. We are making progress. I know schools spend a lot of money on special programs for special needs students. I also realize that some kids cannot be helped. I do think that for most Black kids, it has to be possible to teach them higher math. I think money could be found for tutors in 8th grade for algebra. Also to address the obvious failures to educate the Black Kids in grades kindergarten through 7th grade, apparently the 8th algebra teachers are getting unprepared students from those lower grades.

As far as finding that extra money, cut all of the BS CRT, h**e AmeriKA propaganda classes that the LEFT has infected AmeriKAN schools with. Fire all of the diversity trainers.

All the money for tutors, etc. is a band-aid. The problem that needs to be solved is the lack of the basic family structure. IOW, a failure of the 'heart'.

The schools can't solve " basic family structure ", but they can do the job they are paid to do. They are paid to teach 8th grade algebra.

I agree with you on that but progress, no, we are digressing in American education. There are too many i***ts with i***tic "ideals" and "teaching strategies."

The way it changes is through cultural change, and I just don't see that happening.

And let them teach it. Stop watering down the curricula and stop the endless teasting. My God, it's ridiculous. School are teaching the tests and not the curriculum.

But culture will still be the problem.

Again, schools can only do their job. They cannot change the broader culture.

I started this topic to criticize what this district is doing to address the problem of Black Students not learning algebra. Maybe my ideas suck, but they are better than the school's ideas.

And the student has to WANT to learn. As the old saying goes: "You can lead a horse to water....."

I know. But for them making an effort to teach, nothing more can be done by the schools, and that won't cut it. It's over.

Yep, and that is part of the cultural issue. And parents have to want their kids to learn, they have to parent their kids, they have to nurture their kids, they have to reflect the need for education and the effort it takes to get out of school what they need to get out of school, they have to drop the drugs and the alcohol, drop the unbridled sex and child bearing, stop the incest, stop the gang wars, stop the crime, and rid the culture of the need for Uncle Sam to provide for them, delete the idea that they are oppressed, that they are not being treated fairly, get over this idea that the white man and all other races are out to get them, etc, etc, etc.

It's an endless list within the degenerate culture that so many live in these days and it is an endless cycle.
