Columbus never set foot in America. His ships landed in Barbados!
=============== Amerigo Vespucci in 1502, an Italian merchant and explorer, identified that the North and South America as separate continent. America was named after him.

=========== They were both Italians and he followed after Columbus. I don't have time to discuss right now.
In any event, it's a lie that Columbus discovered America. So why isn't the holiday named after the real discoverer? Probably because he wasn't as immoral as Columbus.

If it were named correctly it would probably be named "Indian Land."
Nice to visit but no moving there for me…Although Switzerland is beautiful…
My idea of doing Europe is do my 90 days at a time in each country, before moving on to another Air Bnb in another country. There are enough countries that I think I could stay on the move the rest of my life.

Like the idea and yes, stay on the move the rest of your life or until that one place hit and you knew you were home..

Absolutely. I was talking to someone recently that came to NC from up North and they said they came down here for work and found an awesome rental and just stayed.
That sounded really good to me. I always liked the idea of going somewhere and learning to speak the language because I couldn't read the damn news or be affected much by the politics! lol

=============== Fifteen thousand to twenty thousand years years ago, indigenous people from Asia traveled thru the Bering land into Alaska. Now the Bering sea is a body of water.
Native Americans resemblance primarily from China, Japan, Korea, India, and the Philippines.

There's nothing like seeing new places. Our plan was to drive to all 44 countries of Europe until we got cut off at the pass by the "plague". Hoping to fire up the plan again this Spring.

My first time I brought one of those language converters, which was great to read it in English but replying say in German or Italian was like WTH?? Proper pronunciation right out the window even though it repeated it in the language, not just written.. French was ok, Spanish ok but anything else 🤔😳….
When traveling politics neverrrrr entered the mind… Altho when in Holland I had a question /answer format with a guy very interested in our politics.. Some of his questions ticked me off too… lolol
