Migratory birds are the only ones allowed to ignore borders.

Can't do it. I'm a Texan, and an American. Not a "citizen of humanity." There are borders around my country, my state, my county, my property, and my personal living space. I believe in borders.
I reckon I must be "inhumane."
I'm no medical expert but you sound perfectly normal to me. You may return to your usual lifestyle.
No charge.

The interview was not about borders.

I would have sworn that when I read it the term "organized borders" which are often imaginary was mentioned, but I just checked again and I am not seeing it. It now says "organized orders," what ever that means. Was that changed??
And one more thing, the guy things pageantry patriotism is dangerous. I'd like to know why. It is, or rather, was typical of us in our youths to be disgusted with that sort of thing but we were also in the midst of a questionable affair, the Vietnam War. This guy also seems to think that his opinion is superior because he served; the antithesis of pageantry patriotism, to me at least.
I reject the "I actually served" mentality more so than I did the pageantry patriotism I disliked as a kid. Pageantry patriotism is more about remembering and not forgetting than it is nationalism, which he also seems to reject.

It mentions "organized borders" further down beginning with the paragraph (fourth paragraph up from the bottom of the article):
"DS: Yeah. You know, broadly, it's a citizen of the world platitude...."(I don't know what it means, either.)

Ok, that's what I got mixed up with. Thanks.
I agree also. Citizen of the world is just another way of saying we should be doing more fro others who won't do for themselves.

To me "Citizen of the world" implies no borders anywhere. He says:
"citizens of humanity rather than a nation."

That too. One world gov, and so on. I don't think it can exist but that's another discussion. But as far as this article goes, I don't see that as a patriotic thing.

I hope you didn`t take a lot of effort to find this BS because if you did, you wasted your time! Nationalism is about race?? We have nationalists of all races in this country!!
