It was the Smithsonian museum that stated hard work and rational thought is white culture and later had to apologize. WHY??? the take I get from this is an insult to other races but they're saying it's something bad. Now all of a sudden white people are supposed to dumb themselves down to their level. If I was a person of color I would be truly pissed off that these i***ts think I can't make the grade like everyone else

I have been wondering why would a white be superior to other races. Is it because w****s work harder and strive
to get ahead. In my opinion it would show that some races are really inferior to w****s.

I have worked 40 years with professionals, engineers, physicists, chemists, geo scientists and mathematicians. Many are non-Caucasian. Many are black. Particularly when working in Africa and Asia. They are at least as well educated if not better and equally motivated as w****s.

For those of color who get an education and apply themselves to work and maintain traditional family values where education is perceived to be of high value, suffer zero living standard/ success difference from caucasians.

I have no proof but it seems in situations where doing well in school is looked down upon or otherwise subscribing to what is deemed “white” culture results in poor if not criminal results.

If seen plenty of minorities do very well. That tells me that all can achieve similar results if they make the right choices. By the way, there are plenty of dysfunctional white folks who do poorly or become careeer criminals.

The government has spent billions over the last 60 years and little has changed. More money is not the answer. People make choices often influenced by others without ideas.

Have to say Mr. troxell,, pretty much agree with this post.. they have the ability..it is often other situations which ruin the prospects.. I think the mention of other people who view education as a "sissy" or pointless goal can be a major problem.. for teenagers today..

This is a personal opinion: I see people of color making marters of criminals , drug cartels, gangs even putting them on tee shirts. This shows kids that hey I can sell drugs steal, or k**l people and get away with it and be famous. This is a wrong impression to give children and then to turn and say its white people's fault is ridiculous. Much of the problems in black neighborhoods is of their own making and until they correct the attitude that the government needs to fix it nothing will be done they need to change their attitude about ALLOWING this kind of people to control their neighborhoods and not protect them. Calling the police when things happen then refusing to help the police is one reason they don't get any results. The animosity toward police causes them to move slower to go into these neighborhoods due to this and I don't blame them. You want results be proactive in cleaning up your neighborhood encourage having a small police dept in your subdivision be part of the solution, not the problem

No one could help but agree with the first part, it is very true, the admiration of Gangsta.. stuff just has to stop..

The rest of your post I sorta agree with but find things much more complicated then as expressed. the police relations will not be changed by anything simple..

Housing limitations make up a large part of the problem.. the social programs need to be "fixed" that will be a forever problem..

Meanwhile we live with what we got..

Never had much contact with B****s. a few marine corps buddies.. a total of 6 fellow students in high school, never saw any minority other then American Indian until end of 7th grade moved to Mpls..

Worked with a total of two which I got to know.. one was bitter and sullen, did not say much but clearly he felt resentment.. the other one was a fellow from Mississippi, who came up to Minnesota and worked at the trucking company which a spent a few years at.. he instructed me on several of the jobs when I first worked and he knew more about the operation then most of the management.. I asked him later why he did not take a management job, he could have done in his sleep as far as knowledge was concerned.. he told me very seriously that he had to be twice was good just to have the job he had.. it covered his needs so why put up with much more stress and BS to hold a job many would work to make him fail at..

so much is real even when it seems to me that it is minor.. and how to fix it all will be much more then a weekend retreat..

It is common knowledge that real-estate sales place the minorities in the cheapest housing areas, which are typically junk. these become the ghettos or nearly so.. the unpleasant areas do have a lasting affect on all who live in them and that is reflected in all outlooks on life.. As well as the area schools and work opportunities..

when my son moved to Tulsa some years ago.. when looking for a house the sales man openly told them that some areas where they had selected houses to look at, they would not like. they would not like the neighbors.. turned out that was code for black areas..

They did get a very nice house. When they moved up to Mankato MN.. they were aware of the practice but in our lily white state and that little city was not true.. so it depends on location but is true..
