But that would take effort and work...and lefties think that they're entitled to everything. They don't understand hard work...unless it's a way to s**m the system.

Lefties go to their only option….. finger pointing, demands for change, handouts, control because they can’t cut it, aren’t players, losers at their core and they know it!!!! You can see this pattern on OPP! Just some thoughts.

wt, I don't know about you, but around here there are lots of jobs offering far less. Lawn maintenance guys are offering 10 dollars an hour. Thats for working hard all day in the Carolina heat. In the Fall, they make nothing because there is no or little work to do. Many business are now offering more, because nobody is willing to work for less.
Why not offer a minimum wage starting at fifteen bucks an hour?

Why not let people exercise freedom and run their business as they choose to do so.

And your story is the same as mine (and my wife). And the same as many, many other people we have known. And the same as many Americans throughout the country. Get off your butt!!!!

The only suitable wage is what that person brings to the success of the company, and a moderate profit level for the investers. Government workers should never be able to make more then what is comparable to that level of work in the civilian area, and what it brings.

Companies are not in business to give workers a job. They are in business to make a reasonable profit for the owners and investors, who took the risks to start the company and probably worked their asses off.

Demanding minimum wages that are beyond the level of your net worth to the company, in today's environment, just hurts the company. If it fails, you are all out of a job and the owner and investors see their investment and hard work evaporate. Everyone loses.

But you socialists think you can demand a certain return on labor, that is not earned. But the total investment that labor adds to the economic health of the company, is the only qualifying factor in play.. Everybody eventually starves, except the dictators who forced unjustified wages on companies. And the overall economy and country eventually fails.

Those are the facts and indisputable.

Logic, I am no socialist. I own stock and think that the free enterprise system is the greatest economic engine ever devised. The problem is that corporations have so much money and power that they can buy Congressmen and women to v**e any way they want them too. The compensation package they receive since WWII has multiplied many times, while the salaries of working people has hardly increased. They need to be regulated through sensible laws.
If you want to see socialism become the only alternative for American workers, just do nothing. We even give big oil a huge amount of money every year.

Let’s look at another area that seems to be never talked about. Colleges and universities receive over $80 billon in subsidies.

And this is their line of BS: “The tuition and fees that they charge undergraduates do not cover the full cost of education. Appropriations from state and local government and other revenue sources offset a portion of these costs and schools pass the savings on to students through lower tuition.”

Lower tuition. In addition to the $80 billion in subsidies, they felt the need to increase the average tuition and fee rates 130% since 1990; that percentage is after adjusting for inflation during the same period.
