Fast Facts
With U.S. crude oil production nearly doubling from 2009 to 2015, Congress repealed the crude oil export ban in December 2015—allowing the free export of U.S. crude oil worldwide.

We found that repealing the ban was associated with:

Expanding the market for U.S. crude oil to overseas buyers

Allowing producers to charge higher prices relative to comparable foreign oil

Decreasing profit margins for petroleum refiners as they paid more for domestic crude oil relative to international prices

Decreasing demand for U.S. tankers to move domestic oil, leading to declines in the U.S. shipping industry

BILLINGS, Mont. — Approvals for companies to drill for oil and gas on U.S. public lands are on pace this year to reach their highest level since George W. Bush was president, underscoring President Joe Biden's reluctance to more forcefully curb petroleum production in the face of industry and Republican resistance.

The Interior Department approved about 2,500 permits to drill on public and tribal lands in the first six months of the year, according to an Associated Press analysis of government data. That includes more than 2,100 drilling approvals since Biden took office January 20.

New Mexico and Wyoming had the largest number of approvals. Montana, Colorado and Utah had hundreds each.

F**E NEWS. Why , GAO is trying to cover their own butt, not able to present a brighter picture of dumb Biden's economy. They've concocted f**e data presenting a wrong picture to impress and hide the disasters happening in this dumb-stupid economy of dumb Joe Biden, and his team.

Beyond repair and recovery. It has now sunk to the deepest pit of Joe Biden sewer lines.

His own weapon of mass destruction who defended and protected his crimes could no longer keep silent but now have spoken the opposite ways. Who are they? CNN, NYT, Washington Post, have delivered a blow to Joe Biden.

Biden is the most disastrous person that ever lived. Aided by his handler Bernie Sanders, who has the Manifesto the Biden's guideline how to proceed. Their goal, first is Socialism into a final Marxism, or C*******m. Everyone among their team at the top while enslaving the ones at the bottom in unison.

Not a word from Biden's team will change my clear brain. Either GAO, the US Treasury, and all cabinet departments protected by DOJ Garland for their massive crookedness. Garland is a tool of c*******t-DEMS. He is not Justice.

Hi there. Because facts could not be denied. Facts do not change. Repetition is necessary to penetrate into the mossy brains of the LEFT. Especially the demented Joe Biden.
Please bundle up folks. This was the trend as I remember 70's and early 80's when summer was long, winter gets below zero. We will see this year, hope I am wrong.

Note: That forecasted increase is very low. I think it will be more than that.

That is due to the dumb policies of Joe Biden, closing all the natural gas and oil pipeline exploration due to c*****e c****e he said. Biden, Bernie and AOC are warm spending the money of the taxpayers to warm them up. Prepare your fireplace. Sometimes, the heating system breaks due to increase in usage. Or having extra generator to help.

Heating Bills Are Expected to Spike in US This Winter: Federal Agency

BY TAMMY HUNG October 14, 2021 Updated: October 14, 2021

The average heating cost for a U.S. household is forecasted to see a double-digit increase this winter, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) in its October winter fuels outlook.

Retail energy prices are expected to approach “multiyear highs” due to supply and demand changes following the p******c, as well as a colder winter ahead.

Forecasted cost hikes include propane by 54 percent, heating oil costs by 43 percent, natural gas costs by 30 percent, and electricity costs by 6 percent.

With natural gas consumption projected to rise by 3 percent this winter, households are expected to spend $746 this winter, up from $573 the previous winter.

The increase in natural gas heating costs varies by region with the Midwestern United States leading the price hike at a 45 percent increase from the previous winter, while the Northeast is expecting a hike of 14 percent.

Nearly half of all U.S. households use natural gas as the primary source of heating. Households relying on heating oil over winter will spend $1,734 over the winter, relative to $1,212 the previous year.

Houses in Northeastern regions will be more affected by the price hike, as nearly one in five homes in the region relies on heating oil as their primary source of space heating.

The projection is based on the Brent crude oil price, which helps determine the prices of U.S. petroleum products.

“The higher forecast Brent crude oil price this winter primarily reflects a decline in global oil inventories compared with last winter as a result of global oil demand that has risen amid restrained production levels from OPEC+ [Organization of the Petroleum Exporting] countries,” the EIA outlook reads.

While most households commonly use electricity for heating, 41 percent rely on electric heat pumps or heaters as their primary source for space heating.

These homes should expect to spend $1,268 this winter season, relative to $1196 the previous year. This projection accounts for 3 percent more residential electricity demand with more Americans working from home, a colder winter, and a rise in fuel costs for power generation.

“During the first seven months of this year, the cost of natural gas delivered to U.S. electric generators averaged $4.97/MMBtu, which is more than double the average cost in 2020,” the EIA outlook reads.

The 5 percent of U.S. homes using propane as the primary means for heating can expect to spend $631 more on average compared to the previous winter, depending on the location.

Residents of the Midwest can spend an average of $1,805 this winter, reflecting higher propane prices and a 2 percent increased consumption.

Propane prices have been at their highest since February 2014 due to increased global demand, relatively flat U.S. propane production, and limited oil supplies from OPEC-plus countries.

The estimated rise in energy consumption projected by the EIA may vary with weather conditions during the 2021–22 winter season.
Of course they are and expected to. We will have mini Texas’ all over the place justifying the cost increase. My electrical company and gas company have already sent me notice that there will be a “slight modification” to the bill when winter sets in… While reminding me that through the winter months they are not able to turn off electric or gas but will expect payment in full in April when the moratorium is lifted.
