Of course Christ meant it metaphorically... What's your point???
No, I do not dine on his actual flesh and blood.... I do follow his teachings, as instructed...
You do realize that salvation requires effort, not simply faith, right???
You follow “some” of his teachings, but you deny who he is and what his birth, death, and resurrection accomplished for those who accept, repent, and believe that he is The One and Only Way to an eternity with our Lord and Savior!
My point was that Jesus told us that he is the Bread of Life…..He told us that we will no longer hunger or thirst if we
have faith and acknowledge who he is. He did not say that we have to be good enough to be saved. There will be
many good people in hell that refused to acknowledge the urging of the Holy Spirit and uttered the words……Please
forgive me Jesus! At that point we are reborn! We still sin, but our sins are forgiven. We have the Holy Spirit to
guide and teach us, to constantly be our “conscious” to warn us when we need warning! Our love for Jesus is our
driving force to follow his teachings! We don’t do it in order to chalk up points to be presented at the Judgment
Seat that will decide where we will spend eternity. As you often say…If this was true surely God would have said so.
In fact the Bible teaches in several different places that we cannot earn our way to Heaven!
I see you ignored presenting scriptures that explain where you get your belief that no one knows if they are saved at the Judgment seat! How do you explain the scriptures about the sheep and goats?
When we get to the judgment seat we have already been divided into the saved and unsaved. We are judged on our life……our actions are judged, not our destination! The scriptures teach us that our crowns that we have earned in our lifetime will be laid at the feet of Jesus for all who are saved.
