Of course Christ meant it metaphorically... What's your point???

No, I do not dine on his actual flesh and blood.... I do follow his teachings, as instructed...

You do realize that salvation requires effort, not simply faith, right???

You follow “some” of his teachings, but you deny who he is and what his birth, death, and resurrection accomplished for those who accept, repent, and believe that he is The One and Only Way to an eternity with our Lord and Savior!

My point was that Jesus told us that he is the Bread of Life…..He told us that we will no longer hunger or thirst if we

have faith and acknowledge who he is. He did not say that we have to be good enough to be saved. There will be

many good people in hell that refused to acknowledge the urging of the Holy Spirit and uttered the words……Please

forgive me Jesus! At that point we are reborn! We still sin, but our sins are forgiven. We have the Holy Spirit to

guide and teach us, to constantly be our “conscious” to warn us when we need warning! Our love for Jesus is our

driving force to follow his teachings! We don’t do it in order to chalk up points to be presented at the Judgment

Seat that will decide where we will spend eternity. As you often say…If this was true surely God would have said so.

In fact the Bible teaches in several different places that we cannot earn our way to Heaven!

I see you ignored presenting scriptures that explain where you get your belief that no one knows if they are saved at the Judgment seat! How do you explain the scriptures about the sheep and goats?

When we get to the judgment seat we have already been divided into the saved and unsaved. We are judged on our life……our actions are judged, not our destination! The scriptures teach us that our crowns that we have earned in our lifetime will be laid at the feet of Jesus for all who are saved.

The God of the OT is the God of the NT. There are no differences

He constantly forgave the Israelites. Only trouble was they'd follow for a while then fall into idolatry again.

That's one reason He's called longsuffering.

Another one liner! Surprise! Surprise! 🥴

You know there is a big difference between you and Michael. He is sincere…….you’re not!

This comment is part of your game. You are expecting me to proclaim with vigor that I have not denied the God of the OT…..Right!

And then you have one of your clever teachable moments all lined up and ready to IMPRESS! LOL! 🤓

Of course not....

I got this line from Rose...

I agree, Michael is much more sincere on his beliefs than I am... So are you... And many others here...I openly admit that I am still unsure of certain things and am learning...

My clever teachable moments are reserved for my students... Y'all are left with snide remarks and flippancy

Perhaps I was unclear...

No one knows they are saved until they reach the judgement seat... To declare that you are saved at this moment is folly... One will of course know about one's salvation when one stands before God in judgement...

I tell you truth canuckus...if you wait until you're at the judgement seat to see if you're saved it will be too late. Don't mess with your eternity.

For He says: "In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you." Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2

There's no need to search...it's right in front of you.

Don't waste 35 years like I did. God in His mercy didn't kill me. He may not be as longsuffering with you. You're not guaranteed tomorrow and if you die before making that decision, it's too late.

Good advice...

Were you searching when you found clarity????

I wasn't...

I was atheist and set out to prove my Bible thumping, evangelical, decent hockey playing friends wrong... Instead~ I found God...

I'm quite thankful for it...Although it disrupted my life and led to many broken bridges...

Perhaps you're right and I will one day believe as you do.... But would you want me to believe simply because you told me to??

It's your free-will choice to do what you want and God's a gentleman and won't force you to do what you don't want to do. Just remember that you've been warned so you have no excuse.

And I repeat canuckus...tomorrow is not guaranteed.

"God is a gentleman"? Never heard that one before.

How can you state a belief without ever showing the scripture that backs up that belief?

To use your often used comments to us………Don’t you think God would have stated that we could not be sure of our Salvation until the Judgement Seat if that is a fact?
