Opportunities to Witness

God calls us to always be looking for opportunities to help people understand the urgency of turning from sin to live for Christ. Paul depicts this Christian responsibility as telling the people in our world to “wake up” (Eph.5:14) – a duty not always eagerly accepted. While the thought may be intimidating, the prospects are exciting. Especially when we realize that Ephesians also reminds us that the results don’t rest on a set of well-crafted words or a skilled apologetic.

Because the problem is spiritual death (and not simply an intellectual or moral deficiency), it is ultimately a work of God. As God sovereignly uses our ambassadorship, he periodically takes the reiteration of biblical truth to immediately transform and eternally redirect the lives of lost men and women. It is an awesome transaction to witness – one we wouldn’t want to miss because we weren’t looking for it.

In the words of Ephesians 5, “be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil” (vv.15-16). May God use us this week to make a difference in someone’s life.

Do you really believe that you have been ordained to pronounce curses on people?

Is that some new form of wise as a serpent, harmless as a dove Pentecostal belief?

I consider your beliefs as understudied and knee-jerk reactions to things that you don't understand.

However...i wouldn't go demonic and wish you harm.

Especially a horrible judgement from God.

Who is the one who needs to calm down?

There are many out there enduring hardships to spread the good news. We have it much easier here

You are correct. But while we may have it easier as far as from a persecution standpoint, we do get it and the frustration that I experience is from people who don't have a clue and are headed straight for hell without even realizing the path they're to the point that they even mock it. It makes me very angry at first that because of their stiff-neckedness that they refuse to listen then very sad.

So how do you find yourself as the victim?

I'm not a victim. First I get angry because people like you don't see the light then I get sad because you think that you're right with God and you aren't and you're headed for hell. How does that make me a victim?

Makes me sad because I’ve been there. They mock it because they are fighting against it and there is a war for their soul even though they don’t realize it.

To point out inconsistencies in the Greek bible is not "mocking" it.

You do mock it. And your opinion of “the bible” is shared by non believers. To most Christ is “ a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”.

Silliness...

Neither Michael nor myself think we are right with God... (Michael can correct me if I'm wrong concerning him)...

You're the one who thinks he's got it made with the big man upstairs
