Christians knew it was coming. They were right.

I respectfully disagree. When government laws conflict with God’s Word, we must submit to God’s Word.
So we have half the people in the country submitting to god's word? What about those who don't agree...which is why we have the laws of the land and they are not religiously based.
You of belief submitting to god's word is destined to put you at war with everyone else that does not share those beliefs...which is exactly what the term "the law of the land" means, it is the law everyone in the land submits to whether they agree with it or not.
Turn this to a county or state that has a clear majority of say muslims, they are not going to say what you just did, which is to say when their religious beliefs don't agree with the law they are going to submit to allah...no, they know their beliefs take a back seat to the laws of the land they choose to live in.

There is nothing in the laws or constitution that mandate any belief in or belief against marriage, a******n, or what ever. Just because something is legal doesn't make it something all people must participate in. Religious groups can teach their children and others their beliefs and it is still religious, not less than or more than any law.
You just hit a nail on the head, the beauty of a country that allows you to believe wh**ever you want...a******n is legal whether you personally or your beliefs agree with it or not, the beauty lies in the fact that you are free not to get one, nobody will make you, and vice a versa, you are not going to tell someone who doesn't agree with you and your religion that that cannot get one.
See how that works, you are free to believe wh**ever you want and keep those beliefs to yourself to where you are not trying to tell someone else what they can do.

Hey slick, get off your soapbox. All I said is that if man's laws usurp God's, I will follow God's. In most cases they don't. But if they I won't follow man's law and am willing to pay the price.

And I am free not to take v*****e and move freely throughout the country without a mask because I am a perfectly healthy human being.
See how that works.
Your own words convict you woodglue...you are not trying to tell someone else what they can do.

So, as far as America goes, the only religion entitled to “religious freedom” protection is evangelical Christianity? No other religions need apply?

What if you’re the only one who thinks it’s “God’s word”!

No stupidicus works just fine describing you...pronounced stoo pid'-i-cus.

It's political if those beliefs conflict with the laws of the land...
That's no better than religious beliefs in Sharia law being prioritized by Muslim mosques, it isn't happening and neither is the bible.
Half of the country does not believe in the bible or god, which is why the law of the land has to prevail over a church's beliefs.
No it's not. There is no law that same sex people have to marry, or heterosexuals have to marry. Christians believe that same sex marriage is wrong so they don't do it and they don't teach that it's ok. How is that in conflict with laws?

Upwards of 70% of Americans are fine with same sex marriage, including most Christians.

Does that justify using the IRS as a weapon against them? Your thinking is messed up.

Then 70% of Americans are WRONG!

No dude. These are not political issues, they are freedom of religion issues.
That’s why it’s hard for me to understand why any Christian would v**e demonrat! Where’s their discernment?
