Yet Protestants have removed various books or parts from the Bible... When it suits them... And even today there are parts that are still suspect... Even parts that are recognized as later additions...

Like what? Did you ever look into why?

My position has been taken by some unbelievers... That doesn't make it wrong...Some unbelievers support the Trinity theology in the Bible... By your logic I guess that must also be wrong... Hmmm🤔🤔🤔

Your positions are often that of unbelievers and casual Christians. You can’t deflect from that.

I'm aware of the arguments Protestants used to remove the books... I'm aware of several other arguments for removing sections...

To think that you've found the one true copy is rather presumptuous...

My positions are my own... I could care less who else holds them... Group think is not a virtue...

Sure you are.

Never said that did I. If you don’t know how to find a good translation - there is more than one - then you should seek help for that too.

Its not about group think but truth. If you’re more interested in being right in your own mind then you’ll never find it. Pride is an obstacle to everyone.

I have no interest in being right in my own mind... I believe we need to keep our minds open and continuously test our beliefs ..

If I felt secure in my own beliefs I would probably start to proselytize them..

There are many good translations of the Bible our there... They still contain errors... It's odd, but translating an error doesn't prevent it from being an error🤔

If you are not secure in your belief that is a big red flag.

I'd be more concerned if I was secure...

As much as I respect my intelligence, I'm intimately familiar with the results (consequences) of it as well. ...

Don’t respect it too much - the evil one knows our weaknesses and will use them to deceive.

My question was more are you secure in your believe that Christ died for our sins? That doesn’t mean we aren’t to heed what James says about testing ourselves.

I'm very secure in that...

Wouldn't claim to be a Christian if I weren't...

One of the reasons I seek out confrontation is to test myself...

I recall a time when pride led me to believe my faith was perfect... And that I had a special relationship with God...

He shut me down hard...

Lesson learned
