Carter was not evil, just dumb as a box of rocks & surrounded himself with evil people most times because he was so naive.
I used to go to his house when I was growing up. My mother was good friends with his mother & his wife.
He is supposedly a genius but has little common sense. He inherited the largest peanut mill for miles around & ran it in the ground.
When he was Governor, he put GA in debt for the first time since The War Between the States.

Jimmy Carter, a nice person.
Lousy president.
The economy continued to slump in the late 1970s. Inflation soared to a staggering 13% and gas shortages once again plagued the country after violence erupted in the Middle East. After cloistering himself with advisers for days in summer 1979 in order to determine a solution to these woes, Carter emerged offering nothing more than a highly critical speech that blamed Americans for causing the present 'malaise' through a loss of moral virtue.
Although Carter's years in office were rocky, his post-p**********l career as a diplomat and human-rights advocate earned him the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002.
Carter was unable to solve most of the problems plaguing the country during his administration, including an ailing economy and a continuing energy crisis.
Although Carter brokered the historic Camp David Accords between Israel and Egypt, relations with the Middle East broke down after the Iranian Revolution in 1979. Iranian extremists seized the American embassy in Tehran and held 52 American hostages captive there for over a year.
When Volcker ruled the Fed, ‘people thought they’d never buy a home again’
“What Volcker did was raise the fed funds rate to levels people never thought they would see. In 1981, the fed funds rate was consistently 20% or higher for roughly half the year, and at least on one day it was 22%,” McCarthy said. “He caused two recessions to get what he wanted. It took massive courage to do that.”
Red China: Gatekeeper of the Panama Canal
Canal if the Senate in 1978 could have looked into the future and known that, when the U.S. F**g is lowered on December 31, 1999, Red China would become its gatekeeper. But that's what's scheduled to happen unless Congress takes immediate action to prevent it.
Don't expect the Clinton Administration to interfere with China's stunning beachhead in the Western Hemisphere. Clinton is hopelessly indebted to the Chinese and their allies in Indonesia for financing his p**********l e******ns in 1992 and 1996.
China didn't need to send an invading army. Because of what is euphemistically called "free trade," China has plenty of cash to buy and bribe its way into our domain.

From the "red" Chinese to water shortages, from illegal drugs and Colombian guerrillas to terrorist attacks and Panama's corruption, the list of threats to the man-made waterway has grown as the "official" Dec. 31 turnover date approaches. Panamanian authorities have increased security at key points along the canal. And some analysts note that with the US gone, the canal may be a less appealing target.
