In the Civil War, 360,222 White men from the North died fighting to stop southerners from owning s***es (called "W***e S*******y" today). Those White men (although they lost their lives in their efforts to help the s***es gain their freedom) were successful, won the war...and all Black s***es were freed in 1863.

So now (more than 150 years later) B****s are demanding r********ns for their ancestor's ancestors being s***es. What r********ns should the descendants of those 360,222 White men get for their ancestors' giving up their lives for those Black s***es?

R********ns are not just for s***ery they are for discrimination in housing employment and education after the Second World War. Programs b****s were excluded from that pushed working class w****s into the middle class. They are for black farmers who were excluded from federal programs through the nineties effectively wiping out black farmers. They are for Jim Crow laws that made b****s second class citizens. They are for the continued denial of equal protection under the law to poor black citizens. Interesting point. I don't think there is a country in the world that had no s***ery ever in their history but the US is the only country to have fought a war to end it. Do you realize that as long as you keep targeting one group of people over another, even if you think its for the good, you are seregating, empowering or isolating one group over another.
