If you are going to be part of the conversation could you please try to bring something more substantive to the table. Simply stating, when I cite a passage, that I'm misusing scripture is not very meaningful and is a low level argument. Maybe try explaining to me, if I have misunderstood a passage, just how I misunderstood it and what would be the better way to understand it.
It is probably better to study a non-Christian historical source for early development of Christian doctrine, unfortunately, because most Christian sources are biased and present a white-washed version.
